  We used this hotel to stay for our wedding. While the hotel was perfectly suitable- very clean but the rooms were outdated especially the bathrooms. We also loved that the windows actually opened and we could let fresh air in. The front desk service was great besides the fact that they overbooked the hotel for that weekend and one of our guests had to switch rooms halfway through the weekend due to this. I will say the one extremely negative aspect we had was with the company they contract out group rates & rooms with, Wylder Compass. They gave us a link with a 15% discount code but the discount code did not work multiple times and we had to ask for a new link 3 times. It took Wylder Compass nearly 4 months to respond and they only responded once we sternly asked for help. They left us scrambling to help our guests get a discount weeks before our wedding, which should have been simple. Only 6 of our guests were able to successfully use the “discount code,” and they would not help us ensure the other guests also got the discount code despite repeated requests and multiple screenshots with evidence of guests not receiving the promised rate. It was very frustrating and caused a lot of stress the weeks leading up to the wedding. We felt that there should have been more effort put into fixing the discount code due to the fact that we helped them sell out the hotel for the weekend and had over 20 rooms booked.

  Paid $285 for one night. The room stank like stale cigarettes and the floor on the side of the bed was soaking wet. I got a really bad case of athletes foot. This place is not worth the price. We left at 8am and were 20 minutes down the road when I realized that I had forgotten my glasses. I called to ask if they could check the room for them. She told me to hold on. I could hear her in the background telling others that she was going to make me think she went to look. After a couple of minutes she came back and said house keeping already had gone through the room and did not find anything. I told her I could hear what she was saying and that is when she hung up on me.

  Don’t plan to have events like weddings here. The wedding “discount” code they provided was more expensive than the regular rate and they increased the prices for that weekend. They also lied about it on the phone saying they would discount wedding guests after the fact which they never did.

  Absolute crap hotel. They charged me for a room that way already paid for by my company. They have no elevator. They expect you to lug your bags up a flight of stairs. House keeping was also below standard (see bug photo). I don't recommend them at all. Just stay somewhere else. ***Edit, reading the responses from management to other one star reviews is sickening. Any business that talks to customers like that should be shutdown. I actually have the manager on recording admitting they were not authorized to charge my card. They already had payment from my company. That is fraud! I will get my money back somehow and I will file a complaint with my company in an effort to not use them anymore. Also added a picture of a bug I had to kill in the bathroom.

  I’m extremely disappointed with the accessibility at Best Western Newberg. There is no elevator, and I did not find meaningful accessibility options for guests who cannot safely or easily use stairs. I understand that the hotel may have designated handicap-accessible rooms, but having an accessible room does not solve the problem if a guest still has to navigate stairs to reach it. Accessibility should mean that guests with mobility limitations can actually access the hotel and their room safely. What was especially frustrating was the lack of any clear indication that guests with mobility needs are given priority when accessible accommodations are limited. I was left wondering how someone with a significant mobility limitation is expected to stay here safely. I strongly recommend that anyone with mobility or accessibility needs call the hotel directly before booking and specifically ask about stairs, room location, and what accommodations are actually available. Having a few rooms labeled “accessible” is not the same thing as providing genuinely accessible lodging.
