  Clean rooms and spacious room. They use dove products which felt extra nice. Staff is helpful. Food, coffee, and hot water runs out quickly and not stocked up.

  Unfortunately the price of rooms are overpriced for the quality of service. Disappointing that when I first arrived the lobby had a awful smell like rotten eggs, I asked what that horrible sent was, and the receptionist responded with it must be something coming from kitchen. Then as we walked into are room wife and I did a quick walk around and immediately noticed that there was hair in shower ( can be easily cleaned but not the point when paying $200+ for one night) I made the front desk aware of my concerns but receptionist. Kimberly responded with, I’m sorry, but that’s not my department, Wow and that’s how hospitality businesses fail to succeed do to employees not caring about customers complaining. And of course when I ask to speak with hotel manager regarding my concerns I was denied that request. I also escalated this to corporate if anyone is looking for a decent place do some research.

  We are IHG members, but made our reservation through Hotels.com because the rate was better and we are longtime members of their rewards program. We received confirmation from the hotel thanking us for booking with them and telling us they were looking forward to us staying with them. We then drove two hours to get to the hotel. When we arrived, Max told us the hotel was oversold and we didn't have a room there. I asked how that was possible and he responded, "Because you booked through a 3rd party and they profit off of you people". He claimed he tried to to reach us through Hotels.com, but said they didn't have our email or phone number. I brought up an email and message that I received from his hotel through Hotels.com on my phone and showed it to Max. He said, "You should have used Expedia. We have direct booking through them." I explained that Expedia owns, Hotels.com, but Max informed us we would have to stay somewhere else, because they sold our room before we arrived. I asked about a refund and Max said we would need to contact Hotels.com. When I contacted Hotels.com they explained the Holiday Inn Express had received our payment for the room and would have to approve the refund. They contacted the hotel and were told a manager would have to process it. I called the following night and Max answered and explained he wasn't capable of refunding the money. The next day I contacted Hotels.com and they were finally able to issue a refund. We didn't appreciate not getting the room we paid for or being lectured about how we should have booked directly through the hotel.

  The only thing good about this hotel is the location. The rooms are filthy gross. I had to wash my son's feet constantly because the carpet kept making them black. The bed felt like it was made of rocks and the room was tired and worn out. I would expect this from a super low budget hotel and not a Holiday Inn. Go elsewhere if you can.
