Amazing two nights in Hood River, Left some expensive items behind when checking out in a hurry, but recieved a call a few hours later as I was waiting at the airport, that they found my items, and would be shipping them to me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The Staff is amazing, The Food and Bar are phenomenal, and I would highly recommend staying here.

This place never dissapoints. We have been staying here for decades and it’s always awesome. The staff are super friendly, the rooms are clean and well maintained, the location and views are wonderful, the pool/hot tub/workout facilities are excellent, the grounds are gorgeous and impeccably maintained, and the Riverside dining cannot be beat - the food is soooooo good. This is one of our favorite places to stay in the country, we come back every year,

We paid top rate for a suite at Best Western Hood River, but got a stressful, exhausting experience. The room and private balcony were infested with spiders, bugs, and bird poop. The windows had thick grime, ruining the view. We barely slept the first night, terrified of the spiders. When we complained, the front desk said they were 100% booked. They only offered a minor $50 discount and sent housekeeping. Unfortunately, the cleaning didn't help much—the spider webs and window grime remained, making the balcony completely unusable. The screen door on the balcony sliding door had a tear in it, so we had to keep the glass sliding door closed at all times to keep the spiders and other bugs out. On the second night, the A/C started rattling loudly like a freight truck, so we had to shut it off which made the room feel very stuffy. Paid premium rates for a suite and in return got two nights of horrible sleep and a headache. We will never stay here again!

We had such a nice stay here and really loved the location. Our room faced the river and had a huge window plus a balcony, which was probably my favorite part. At night, we could sit outside with friends, look at the stars, and just hang out. It felt really relaxing. ✨ The outdoor pool was another highlight. It’s not an infinity pool, but you still get a nice river view, so it was a very comfortable place to spend some time. There were only two things that bothered me a little. The first was the AC in the room. It’s a window-style unit and pretty loud, especially at night. The hotel did provide earplugs and an eye mask, which was a thoughtful touch. The second was the water refill situation. We only found water stations near the guest restrooms on the second floor at both ends of the building, or inside the fitness center. Everywhere else seemed to have only ice machines. 😅 Even with those small issues, we still really enjoyed the hotel. The overall experience was great, and we thought it was a very good value for the price. We would definitely come back and would recommend it, especially for families traveling with kids. 🙏

The most that can be improved on quickly is cleanliness, my pillow had dark hairs on it, the headboard of the bed had greasy hair stains from rubbing against it, windows were filled with spiderwebs and flies, outdoor patio infested with spiders which made it uncomfortable to spend time there with the view. Multiple bathroom fixtures were loose/failing, toilet paper holder became a whirligig, one of the shower handles was so loose it was hard to find the temperature sweet spot, and worst was the bathroom pocket door was off-balance so it would stay open and the lock itself was extremely loose so it wouldn't close where we had to use plastic utensils to tighten screws enough to close. We were in a suite on the furthest end of the hotel and our internet was atrocious. Multiple disconnects, slow when connected. Don't rely of the connection in the room at all, especially if you are working away. Needs much improvement. Other less impressives were that the AC unit was very loud and annoying, the door and screen to the balcony were impressively difficult to open and close and the trash bins are extremely small so as it seems they are telling you not to throw anything away as they don't want to deal with it. The Riverside restaurant was nice, though not up to the price. The service was excellent and they have a thought out menu. For our main courses, they were the steak was fantastic but the salmon was lacking seasoning and surprisingly fishy. Our server did a great job attending to our needs timely. If you are staying at the hotel the layout of everything is a bit confusing, you can find yourself in the banquet area or lounge (not part of the actual restaurant bar) easily. I think they need to do a better job defining spaces. The outside pool/spa were quite nice with a great view. I did find myself having to refill the water in the adjacent gym area so we could get fresh water which was annoying as the previous day it was empty, and those jugs are not light... This place has a lot of potential, but also shows blatant complacency. Be and do better and maybe I'll go again and suggest this location to others for the price.
