Very clean property with comfy beds and views of the Columbia River and Bridge of the Gods. Riverside Restaurant on site with really good food and service. Indoor and outdoor hot tub, indoor sauna, fitness center and outdoor pool on site as well.

This is a very well-kept hotel across the board, the lobby, to the hallways, and the rooms. The balconies are nice for evenings to relax and watch the Columbia River go by. The sidewalk along the river is great. Everything was right there, so there wasn't a need to go to multiple places within Hood River.

Location on the Columbia River can’t be beat. But unfortunately a few complaints. There was food left in the microwave from a previous guest, shampoo bottles nearly empty, and mattress pad in pack n play worn out so that the fitted sheet would fold it up or come off, which isn’t safe for a baby. Mold around shower fixtures. These are things I would probably ignore at a cheap hotel, but not one with rooms going for $300+ a night.
Husband spoke with front desk about the microwave right after check in (didn’t notice the other things until later) and was told a manager would contact us the next morning and they never did. We would have liked to follow up when we dropped off our key cards but we had an early flight to catch and didn’t have time. I submitted another review after checkout and again we were not contacted.
These may seem like little things but for the price of these rooms I would expect basics and cleanliness to be top tier, and management to follow through!

This is a great Best Western right on the Columbia River! We stayed here for a night on our two week trip from Utah to the PNW and our river view room with a balcony was very nice. The hotel itself is a bit dated and could use some updating in some areas, and the pricing was a little high, but overall, I would stay here again. The outdoor pool was nice and warm on a cooler evening but I wish the heaters by the tables under the canopy were turned on - this would have made getting out of the pool more enjoyable and comfortable. I really appreciated the breakfast credit for the attached restaurant which was not expected. We had a really good breakfast in the restaurant before heading out for the day. If you're passing through Hood River, spend a little extra and get the river view room at the Best Western!

Stayed at the Best Western Plus in Hood River.
Staff: Check in was wonderful — the gentleman at the front desk was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Checkout, however, was a very different experience. We noticed a $32 charge that appeared around 2 a.m., and the front desk wasn’t able to explain it at the time. Once I reviewed the itemized statement myself, I realized the charge reflected the difference between the initial authorization at check in (including the incidental hold) and our additional restaurant charges.
When I explained this to the manager at checkout, she disagreed, was dismissive, and was noticeably rude throughout the conversation. She repeatedly told us it was an “incidental” charge that would “fall off,” but her explanation was incorrect. While I fully agree with the total amount owed, I strongly disagree with how and when it was charged — and with the way the situation was handled.
Restaurant: The food was generally fine and worked well for a simple meal during our stay.
Room: The room was disappointing. It didn’t appear to be routinely or thoroughly cleaned. The floors and shower floor were sticky, several surfaces were grimy, and there were spiderwebs in some of the corners. Even the outdoor patio area was noticeably dirty. I didn’t request a different room because, based on the condition of the hallways, I didn’t expect another room to be any better. Overall, the room felt neglected and far below the standard we expected.
Overall: This was, unfortunately, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and based on this stay, I would not return.
