  Passing through from Washington to California with my adult daughter. We were extremely pleased with our stay. Clean and comfortable room, enjoyable pool, and a tasty breakfast. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Lovely view of the boardwalk. Such a cute little town. I definitely will come back here and recommend to others. Thank you!

  Comfortable rooms, good breakfast and staff. Only complaint was the amount of loud vehicles driving through at night which is of no fault of the hotel.

  The bed was so comfortable! We slept so well we very nearly missed breakfast. The sweet lady attendant graciously let us get a quick breakfast. It’s unfortunately located between two streets; we were not bothered by traffic noise, however. It was a great place to overnight on our way to the Redwoods. We will stay again.

  I went, checked in. Less than 5 minutes in, saw 4 bugs. One large spider on the doorframe, I’m fine to kill it. Then we see small ones on both beds. I tell the front desk lady who has white hair, she says “that’s hard to believe.” Not really, pretty consistent with the other bad reviews. Refused to look at the photos I took, and did not allow me to get anymore documentation. Then she yelled at me telling me she is now refusing me service. Never had such a bad customer service interaction at a Best Western or any other hotel in my life. Still stunned she yelled at me for having bugs!

  The reason this isn't a 1/5 is because the lady who checked me in was awesome, and the breakfast potatoes were delicious. However, the reason it's not a 5/5 is because of the two ladies who were working the front desk Thursday night ~9pm when I came down to ask about getting some shampoo. There was no dispenser in my shower, so I grabbed the two little bottles by the sink and got in the shower, only to realize they were both conditioner and I had no shampoo. So I got dressed and went down to the front desk. I explained that I'd received two conditioner bottles, thinking housekeeping had made an error in not giving me 1 shampoo and 1 conditioner, and asked if they had shampoo they could give me. The two girls looked at each other, then looked at me and said "Our rooms have shampoo dispensers in the shower." I didn't say it, but I would not have gotten dressed again and walked down to the front desk if that had been the case. I assured them my room didn't, and they clearly didn't believe me. I was 5 seconds away from asking where the nearest convenience store was so I could buy my own shampoo (because I don't do confrontation, nor do I enjoy interacting with people who clearly think I'm lying) when one of them finally reached under the counter and produced a shampoo bottle for me. I felt about 3 ft tall and based on that interaction, will most likely find somewhere else to stay the next time my job sends me to Coos Bay. Attached is photographic proof that room 251 does NOT have a dispenser in its shower stall.
