  Great find in Astoria! Beds were comfy amd the linens were high quality. The desk service was excellent and the breakfast was well done. Also appreciated being close to a nice running path and we could see the Goonies house from our room. Loved hearing the sea lions as well.

  Ckean, well kept rooms and hotel, conveniently located - close, but not too close to town center, but more importantly, close to Pier 39 and its amenities. Beware the outrageous summer rates, particularly on the weekend.

  Terrible. Will not be returning for any future endeavors. There was NO breakfast thanks to poor management, the service was terrible, and for $300 for one night…. I certainly expected better. Staff was rude and less than accommodating. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here.

  I was here on business for SEIU 503. I watched Lori berate another guest and his children. She was so unprofessional it made me and my coworker uncomfortable. The check in process was filled with negative comments of her running the place by herself to the owner not bothering to have a bank account for this location. After Lori berated this guest and his children, he told her she was making them uncomfortable and he would take his concerns up with managers the next day. Lori continued to escalate. The guest told her she was being racist and she screamed "Im cherokee Indian I can't be racist" and then told the guest she was calling the cops to have them escorted out. We ended up leaving the hotel and did not stay after that terrible experience. We will be asking our corporate to no longer support this business.

  My husband is a best western member and we have actually stayed at this location multiple times. Breakfast is great, housekeeping is great, location is great. The ONLY problem We have had the last 3 times we have stayed in the last 9 months, is the problem that detours us from returning. The staff is great, and helpful, with the exception of Lori at the front desk. We have had it with the amount that she vocalizes about hating her job, her co-workers, her hiring management, ect. She speaks very loudly about "running the hotel all by herself, being forced to work 9-12 hours with no breaks, ect" She talks ill about guests, to other guests ( she was venting directly to me, while the guests she was slandering were around the corner). Lori watched one guests teen son walk out to his parents car through the exit closest to the Safeway gas station this past weekend, to grab something, and when he went back to the door and had clearly left the room key, she smirked and walk away. That is absolutely not okay, and frankly disgusting that she found humor in that. As foster parents for the state of Oregon, we would like to point out that the inappropriate behavior directed at a minor is a form of abuse, and if another guest had not let that child back in, what Lori did was endagerment to a minor child. We have never had problems with any other employee there, and have always referred other guests, but as long as Lori has contact with guests, we cannot in good conscious refer anyone else, nor let our foster children on site, for their safety.
