- WLWendell LowOct 8, 20265.0It was move-in week at OSU and most of the hotels were full and I decided to stay a couple more days into the weekend and the hotel I stayed at could not accommodate me. I walked across to the Albany Holiday Inn Express and was greeted by Jenn. When I asked about vacancies, instead of flat out saying “no”, she checked for a room fully knowing that my chances were slim to none. Because Jenn went the extra mile, she was able to find me a room for the weekend and I will never forget her cheerful and helpful character. Those extra days meant a lot to my son and I and really made the difference in allowing him time to become acclimated in college. Thank you Jenn for enabling us to have such a great experience and memory. Mahalo!

My wife and kids went to visit her sister, and I was getting ready to take a shower because I had to wake up at 3:30 AM for work. Right before getting in the shower, I noticed the water wasn’t draining. I called the front desk, and the guy brought me a plunger. I tried to fix it myself, and that’s when things got disgusting. A bunch of nasty hair and something that looked like… well, let’s just say I really don’t want to know what it was, came out of the drain. I called the front desk again and asked for another room. We had to pack everything back up, move to another floor, and unpack everything all over again. I even asked if I could just cancel the stay, but since I booked through Expedia, I couldn’t get a refund. I was told the hotel had been remodeled, but honestly, I’m not sure where that remodeling happened. The hallway smelled bad, and in the new room, the thermostat didn’t even work. Sadly, this was a terrible choice. After all that, I was seriously considering whether sleeping in the car would have been the better option. 😅
