We stopped for a quick overnight rest while on the road. Room and hotel were clean. Bed was not bad. Standard hotel room. Pool area looked clean as well. Fitness Center was a treadmill and elliptical. The service was great! Bobbie Sue at the front desk was a sweetheart. I saw other reviews about the refrigerator being left opened. Bobbie Sue explained that they leave them open and the temp turned all the way down so they don't get musty and that anything past 4 on the dial will freeze whatever you put in there. I turned the dial about halfway and our water bottles froze in less than 6 hours, so the refrigerator works very well! There was also a microwave and coffee maker (small single serve drip kind) in the room. The breakfast area was big and clean with a decent amount of options including hot food. Egg patties, potatoes, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, waffles, yogurt with toppings, pastries, fresh fruit (oranges and apples), coffee with French vanilla and plain creamer, tea bags, milk apple and orange juice, oatmeal packets, and lots of condiments like jams, peanut butter, cream cheese, honey, hot sauce, etc. I also noticed a Keurig in the lobby as we were leaving. They did say they had 24/7 coffee so that's probably what that was. Location was easily accessible to the turnpike we were traveling on. There appeared to be some food options close by. I did see a 7 Brew Coffee place across the street. Would stay here again if we were passing through the area.

The amenities are great for the location area but it was out of my budget at the time

The General Manager of Stateline Lodge required a guest judge for our non-profit organization's annual event to disclose specific confidential health information about his disability to stay there with his service dog.
After our guest checked in and went to dinner, the staff required him to complete the form to stay there after he returned. He pointed out that they under the ADA, they were not supposed to ask, much less require, him to disclose such specfics. The staff acknowledged that was correct but that the general manager, Mr. Ghandi, required it any. Rather than comply, our guest told them he would leave instead.
The General Manager charged our organization for the room anyway and he refused to refund it because the room was used [until they made him leave] and because our guest was disrespectful to his staff when they required him to disclosed the information. His words. The Manager later told Best Western Corporate Customer Service he had refunded the money. That was lie. He also later told Best Western Customer Service our guest left his dog in the room when he went to eat and that is why he wasn't refunding the money. He told me he wouldn't refund the money because he couldn't rent the room to someone else that night, even though they had other vacancies. The bottom line is that he just didn't want to return our money. In all fairness, the staff that I talked to was great and apologetic, but the General Manager was more interested in taking our non-profits $105 than taking care of us and continuing our relationship.
We have rented dozens of rooms from Stateline and other area Best Westerns over the years for our guests, but not anymore. Best Western Corporate acknowledged that he was out of line with his form inquiring about the proctected health information but they said they were unable to do anything about his billing. That disappointing conclusion came from a corporate supervisor only after 3 phone calls with staff customer service reps and about 2 hours worth of my time getting the run-around. For that reason, I am also done with Best Western Lodging in general.

Room was very clean, mattress has mattress cover, bathrooms well stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, makeup remover packets. Don't know if the fridge work or not, the door was open when we walked in and wasn't even cool. The lights on the desk were unplugged so the fridge may have been unplugged too 🤷. I like taking a hot shower, but with the hot water turned to maximum, water temperature was barely above Luke warm. The wife took a shower first and she just likes a warm shower, so I thought she used all the hot water at first. Then I turned on the water at the sink and it was hot, so I guess there's a restricter on the valve preventing it from getting too warm. Staff was friendly and supportive. Their breakfast less than desirable though. They did have biscuits, gravy, eggs and cold cereal. Coffee machine was out of order so, no coffee and no hot water to make oatmeal. They need to learn how to make biscuits and gravy also. They were gross. Biscuits tasted like lard and left a greasy film on the roof of my mouth. The gravy was like it was just water and flour, and tasted like it too. The biscuit and gravy tasted like greasy bread soaked in water. I took 2 bites and had to throw the rest away. Orange juice however was fantastic. It tasted like fresh squeezed which surprised me. Most hotels serve watered down orange juice or Tang, if you remember what Tang is, if not, ask your parents or grandparents. 😁 I would recommend this hotel for a good nights sleep and comfort, but don't go for the breakfast. 😕
