  Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing stay. When we arrived and went to our room on the third floor, the entire hallway had an extremely strong marijuana odor. I personally have no issue with marijuana, but the smell was overwhelming and immediately entered our room when we opened the door. It remained noticeable throughout the night. The room itself was mediocre at best and clearly needs updating. The shower was dated, part of the wall covering was peeling, the lower exterior portion of the shower was dirty, and the finish on the vanity was chipped and peeling. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. My spouse and I both kept rolling toward the middle, and the mattress was unusually soft and bouncy and felt worn out. The HVAC cooled the room well, but it was so loud that every time it cycled on, it woke us up. To make matters worse, the smoke alarm in the hallway went off twice during the night. There was also noise and activity in the hallway several times during the early morning hours. We checked in around 10 PM and were exhausted from traveling, yet neither of us was able to get a decent night’s sleep. What was particularly disappointing was the lack of response from the hotel. I received a text asking how our stay was going and indicating that I could text if we needed anything or had concerns. I responded and explained what was happening, including the noisy HVAC and the alarms, and never received a response or acknowledgment. We had another approximately 900 miles to drive the following day, so getting a good night’s sleep was extremely important. Instead, we left exhausted after sleeping only a few hours. The room was not what I expect from a Holiday Inn Express, and the lack of response after I reported the problems during our stay made the experience even more disappointing. The property needs attention, particularly the mattresses, room updates, cleanliness and enforcement of its smoking policies. I would give this 1 stars. The HVAC did provide good cold air and there were aspects of the room that were clean, but unfortunately that wasn’t enough to overcome everything else about the stay.

  I was seriously disappointed in this location. Was it a small rural town? Yes. We’re the people friendly? Yes. I am often on road trips and so I have stayed in hotels, motels, and the in-between places. I enjoy the nice places and understand that small town properties won’t be the same as those in more touristy or busy areas. However, I wish I had chosen a different hotel. This is NOT about the service or the dated/faded-ness. Or even the major road construction out front. There’s only so much a business can do. But… 1. Walking into the lobby there was a SMELL. I don’t know what from—it wasn’t AS bad upstairs, but it was still NOTICEABLE. And the smell wasn’t from outside. 2. Toilet running: I got to my room and the toilet was running. Being a knowledgeable person I know that you can usually jiggle the handle - but that didn’t fix it. I had to take off the tank lid and readjust the chain and realized that the handle was badly positioned/attached. So my fix was to leave the lid not all the way on. I didn’t want to hear it running all night and that’s wasting water in rural Oklahoma during a drought. 3. WiFi not working. I tried on all my devices but it wouldn’t even connect to the landing /login page. I don’t know if that was a bandwidth issue or what. Otherwise I felt the room was clean. Breakfast was hot Staff was friendly.
