Clean, quiet , smoke-free rooms, and a nice bed. Cheerful, friendly and helpful staff (Jessa) working the phones and at check in. The free breakfast was generous, varied, hot, and fresh. Parking was well lit and seemed pretty secure. It's a little farther from downtown Tulsa than I expected, but not that terribly far. The bed was really comfortable, which is not always my experience at midline hotels.
I only have a few tiny criticisms: 1. The TV was not easy to use and the channels were quite limited. 2. The AC worked well, but smelled a bit moldy (maybe spray some Lysol). 3. The one front desk clerk working the morning I checked out (Saturday) was a little agitated and wasn't very friendly. He seemed frustrated with my use of the waffle machine and kind of lingered a bit too close. 4. The gym is not really a gym. A couple of dumbbells and an old, rickety machine doesn't really constitute a "gym." You can find decent, gently used machines with multiple options. It's not the reason I chose the hotel, but it would be nice to bring it up to 2026 standards if budget allows. 5. My keys didn't always work the first time. They seemed to glitch a little. To their credit, the helpful woman at the front desk immediately gave me another one with no waiting and was super polite. That goes a long way these days.
If you're looking for a friendly polite checkin staff and reservations, a reasonably-priced room, a relatively safe area, and a good night's sleep, this place will work. Room prices continue to rise, but this hotel has good reviews for a reason. While I can't give them a five-star rating, they were a solid four and if you read the reviews of other hotels, you'll quickly learn that they are the exception. In the end, I was willing to pay about $50.00 more based on reading their reviews and speaking to Jessa (I hope I remembered her name correctly). She's a peach. True Southern hospitality.
