I visited my family who was staying here and they loved it. The prices are high so look for discounts. Great pool area and breakfast. Clean and smells good. I'll definitely stay here if I come bacn to Warren ohio.

Best Holiday Inn Express or Marriott equivalent I have stayed at. I travel weekly. I can tell the owner really really cares. You won't be disappointed.

I've been on the phone with Nicholas at Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Niles, Ohio twice about an upcoming trip. We had some issues with a third party booking. He was above and beyond helpful and kind. He made sure we were taken care of. We do not come to town very often, but when we do, we will be sure to come here because of Nicholas.

The hotel itself was your typical stay. No coffee in the rooms and a dorm fridge make it tough if anyone is staying more than one night. Having two notes taped to my vehicle when I left in the morning from ‘management’ saying I needed to move my vehicle into another parking spot was a bit uncalled for, considering I was parked legally in a parking spot, and all someone had to do is call my room and ask me to move it really was an issue.

The rooms are recently renovated, which is absolutely a plus based on the pictures available on the website. However, there are fundamental issues I have with the way the rooms are and the amenities inside. Let's start with the good stuff. The pool and hot tub were fantastic. The facilities were all kept very clean and the staff was friendly, courteous, and upfront with issues that existed. The hot breakfast in the morning was also very good both mornings that we stayed there. Normally, we stay across the shopping center in another location, but we moved here for the hot tub. Ultimately that was not the right move, but we will get into that. There is a whole patio in the rear of the building that was beautiful and if you are visiting during the right time of the year, this is a great place to eat your breakfast. Parking and access to the hotel was convenient and the food locally was also extremely diverse and we didn't really have a bad meal from any of the local eateries nearby. One small detractor is that it is directly across from a Chick-Fil-A, and while that sounds like a good thing... traffic is WILD around that place. But there were some bigger issues. Mostly with the room, in fact entirely with the room. First, we were in a King Suite. This suite was roughly the size of a regular room, again based on pictures. And if it is bigger, it didn't feel like it. For the increased price we paid for a "suite", it didn't feel special at all. Again, aside from a pull out couch (that we didn't need) it legitimately felt like a standard hotel room and was sized about the same. Second, the in room amenities. The refrigerator froze most of what we put in there (this isn't a detractor for us, but other mentioning... we liked it), and the pillows were flat and I mean flat. Looking at the actual fixtures, a lot of them seemed to be used or dirty already. Considering the hotel was just recently worked over, that was surprising. Not necessarily a knock on them... I did see the maintenance and cleaning crews all over, hustling hard. The biggest annoyance for me, as someone who was working remotely from the room... was the TV. It was a "smart" TV. But the attendant at the desk specifically told us it was a non-smart Smart TV and I figured out what she meant when we got into the room. It wasn't connected to Wifi. So while the home screen advertised that YouTube and other streaming services were available, none actually were. We could stream to the TV, but you had to connect your device to the TV's ad-hoc network, meaning if you don't have the video or music locally on your device, you aren't streaming it to the TV. The TV service that was provided was not fantastic in terms of picture quality, but the most frustrating part of the service was that the channel guide that we received didn't match up with the guide that was on the TV. Like... not even close. The air conditioner on the room worked well, but we noticed whenever we were leaving that some condensation seemed to be leaking out of the side of the unit. Nothing of our was damaged, but if someone was unlucky enough to put a suitcase or backpack near it, that could be a problem. Lastly, the wifi in our room was simply not good. They operate on a Cisco Meraki managed network, so it is likely just a matter of adjusting the RF Profiles. But unless someone with the knowledge does it, it won't matter. And based on the TV situation, I'd imagine it is an area of disconcern. In all, we enjoyed our stay. But with the competition in the area from at least 4 other hotels within 5 minutes, we wouldn't come back. At least not unless it was a standard hotel room and the price was significantly cheaper.
