  I was driving through on my way to Michigan and stayed at this Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Troy. I can honestly say I have never in my life witnessed such amazing camaraderie and hospitality. My room was beautiful, clean, and spacious, and the fresh-ground coffee in the lobby was delicious. However, it is the extraordinary staff that makes this hotel unforgettable. I stayed to talk with the team for about an hour and felt blessed to experience such a positive, supportive work environment. They truly made me feel like part of their chosen family. Every single person I interacted with went above and beyond: *Liz (night auditor) heard I was feeling sick and immediately guaranteed a late checkout so I could rest before I completed my drive the next day. When there was an issue with my room she very quickly came up with a solution. *Katlynn (head housekeeper) was incredibly dedicated, working hard to keep the lobby spotless and presentable. *Stefanie (front desk) went out of her way on a phone call to secure the absolute best rate for a guest, even though they already had an existing reservation. *Isaiah (maintenance) resolved an issue with another guest's room in record time. *Jenisha (Assistant General Manager) showed true leadership, and it is clear from our conversation how deeply she cares about the wellbeing of her staff. *Greg (General Manager) is the driving force behind this hotel and his team spoke lovingly about how he took this location from "the last to the best." From speaking to Greg directly, I could tell that he cares deeply about his staff and does everything he can to show recognition for all their dedication and hard work. He has built a diverse, united team that operates with pure excellence. This isn't just a hotel; it is a masterclass in how a business should be run. Thank you all for your incredible kindness and for turning a simple road trip stop into a beautiful memory!

  Nice hotel. We stayed in a King Suite. Very spacious. A small dining table and two chairs would have been nice instead of just a desk and one chair. The couch was comfortable. The bathroom (the shower) really needed some TLC. Bad caulk at the base. A crack in the wall. Kind of gross. I expect better from H.I. Express. The staff was great. The breakfast was very good, too!

  Pleasant stay. Clean room with soap provided. Good breakfast and a pool. They will also give you toothbrush and toothpaste if you forgot yours. Walmart and aldi across the street.

  This place was extremely disappointing, especially for the price. Our room was not ready when we arrived, which was a bad start. On top of that, the bathroom by the pool was disgusting. I could not tell if it was blood or vomit, but either way, it was completely unacceptable.
