- BSBex Sanders2 days ago1.0I stayed on July 11th in room 203. The hotel itself was fairly clean and well maintained, but the room had bed bugs. I informed the front desk and they were unable to give me a different room due to being booked. All of this happened at 2:30am after being woken up by bites all over my back. I had no other option but to check out in the middle of the night and drive around to find somewhere else to sleep. I will say, the staff tried their best to be helpful and they did promise me a refund. They sent my money back to hotels.com and hotels.com tried everything they could to deny sending the refund back to me for the last 2 weeks. I finally got my refund today after sending them proof of communication with the hotel manager promising me the refund. The hotel says the exterminator has treated the property now. What a mess..

This is the end of 2 weeks on the road and of all the hotels we've stopped at, this was the most pleasant experience. The rooms are comparable to others, but the customer service was what set it apart. Tori was so nice and able to accommodate a special request, plus, did it with a smile. HIE is lucky to have such an excellent ambassador for their brand. Thank you Tori for making or stay a comfortable one. Also, check out The Pioneer Mill restaurant while here. The food is way above average!

Theresa was amazing also she she made our breakfast experience 100%, I cant write into words on how much we appreciate both of them. Room was clean and spacious and our grandkids loved the pool!!!
