  I had a lovely time at Staybridge Suites. As a female solo traveler I felt very safe and loved that the location was near food options including a 24hr McDonald's and a gas station. The staff was very polite, the room clean and comfortable with a very soft and comfy bed and super comfy pillows that put you to sleep in no time. I liked that the tv had free on demand I just had to figure out the remote who worked fine as long as you turn on the tv yourself ( at least in my room) been able to regulate the temperature of the room myself was a big plus ( menopause). The selection of Dove products in the room was very impressive and loved it.Location was perfect for going to Blossom and Front street. Im taking one star down only because one of the reasons I got this jotel was the free breakfast and it was do disappointing that I ended up at McDonald's for breakfast. Quality of food was not great nor presentation . The pantry is also very small and the options for a hot microwave meal were very limited. I got a frozen mini pizza that had to be thrown out. That been said It has a full kitchen so I bought items at Walmart and did fine. I WOULD stay again.

  The front desk man was very nice and accommodating. We got into our room and as we were lying there I noticed a dark stain under the sheets. I pulled it back and found dried blood on the mattress pad. It looked as if it wasn’t even laundered. The bathroom walls also had stains (of who knows) running down the walls. I went to the front desk and they moved us rooms. The second room had a very odd and overwhelming bad smell. I can’t quite figure out what it was. I then went down to the front desk where I was offered an 3rd new room. I opted for a refund & we went next door to the Fairfield Marriot and had a wonderful experience.

  Dirty bathroom, mildew, rusted shower head. Morning breakfast was average at best.

  If the smell of dog is a turnoff for you, you’ll have challenges here. Didn’t realize this was a pet-friendly hotel and you can smell dog EVERYWHERE. In our room, hallways, even to the point where it was unpleasant to eat breakfast because the smell was so strong. Breakfast was also a let down. Hot options were lukewarm and the whole setup felt thrown together without much care. The woman running breakfast spent a long time refilling the packets of things, but seemed oblivious to most other things that needed refilling and were empty (scones, coffee, hot items, etc.) The service was great! Whoever was at the front desk had stellar customer service skills and made us feel very welcome. Work on the dog smell and breakfast and this hotel could easily get 5 stars in my book!

  Bed and pillows were better than other recent hotel offerings. Blanket was too warm for the 72 degree a/c setting Afternoon fire alarm, send us outside for 45 minutes. There was a bit of smoke from someone’s cooking fire. The ladder truck decided to test their ladder and looking on a few rooms. The firechief said he had a few more rooms to check and then he could let us back inside. Many hotel guest took an extraordinarily long time to go outside. Annoying early morning smokers outside our window woke us by 5 every day. Window could not close because opening was not square - letting in hot humid air and noise. Kitchen - pots, pans, plates, bowls, glasses and spatula in cupboards were all filthy with old food. Yuck! I tried to clean the pan before making dinner, but was unsuccessful with the wimpy scrub brush in the kitchen so I brought the pan to the manager. He said he would bring me a new pan in five minutes, but 45 minutes later he brought me a cleaner pan and claimed he went to the wrong room. I had tried to call the main desk using O on the room phone, but it said that call could not be completed. Cooking spoon handle was loose and melted - unusable. Air conditioner was quite loud. Refrigerator / freezer doors swung the wrong way from the kitchen counters. Microwave door didn’t open fully. Bruised arm retrieving warmed food. Don’t stay here if you can go elsewhere.
