  The hotel’s location was perfect for our needs. It was convenient for grocery shopping and provided easy access to the Cedar Point Sports Center and Cedar Point. Our rooms were also clean and comfortable. However, there were a few issues during our stay. The hotel seemed to be consistently short on towels. Housekeeping would come into the room, but we were told we had to wait for clean towels to be ready and then request them separately. The hotel also had a pool, which was a nice amenity to have, but unfortunately, the water was not warm and there were no towels available in the pool area either. This added to the ongoing issue with towel availability throughout our stay. The most disappointing part of our experience has been how the hotel handled an item we accidentally left behind. I called the day after our stay and was told that the item had been found and was at the front desk. I was told that it could be mailed back to me. It has now been a month, and after MULTIPLE phone calls to the front desk, I still do not have the item or even a clear answer about what happened to it. On at least four separate occasions, I was told someone would check on whether the item had been mailed and call me back with an update. I never received those return calls. Now, after a month of repeatedly following up, no one seems to know where the item is or whether it was ever mailed. I completely understand that accidentally leaving an item behind was my responsibility. However, once the hotel confirmed that the item had been found and was in their possession, I expected better communication and follow-through. Being repeatedly told that I would receive a return call and never receiving one has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. While the convenient location and cleanliness of the rooms were definite positives, the lack of towels, the disappointing pool experience, and especially the lack of communication and accountability regarding my lost item have significantly affected my overall impression of this hotel.

  I won't stay here again. The first room they gave us was filthy. The carpet hadn't been vacuumed in months it seemed. Typically I check beds first, but the dirty floors stole the show! The bathroom also had not been cleaned. There was blood splattered on the floor and mountains of hair around the toilet. I couldn't give it zero stars or I would. They offered to clean the room again, which they did, and it was still dirty. The blood was gone, but still not vacuumed. I asked for another room on the 3rd floor as we were there for a volleyball tournament and others on the third floor said their rooms we're not spectacular, but in better condition than mine after the second cleaning. I checked the third floor room and it was not as clean as I would like, but notas filthy dirty as the first. They did give me a discount, but I will never book here again. There was also a weird opening at the front of the hotel. It looked like glass panes should be there, but there were none and it opened directly into a banquet hall type room. No screens and people smoking out front allowed anything and everything to come in! There was also a child behind the desk, which I thought was weird, but I'm a mom so I get it. If you need to stay in this area, I would recommend the holiday inn express. Another family staying with us this weekend left and went there as there was someone already in their room when they got to it and opened the door! Yikes!

  Honestly this shouldn't be a 3 star hotel. The service was great and the staff was really frendly. The room was clean with no bedbugs. The breakfast was very delicious (although they could use another waffle iron) and had a greate variety of food. My only complaint was that the beds were hard and the lobby smelled like weed smoke. This was a pretty good deal.

  I would not recommend staying here and I definitely won’t be coming back. When I first entered the room I did a walk through of everything to make sure it was clean. It was not. I opened the top drawer of the dresser to find a pair of used, dirty socks that were left there from the previous guest. I will attach a picture. The carpets were not vacuumed and there is tons of crumbs and debris in between the beds. The top of the rim on the inside of the toilet bowl is also covered in crap. Another thing that irritated me is that I booked a 1 king suite and even with proof of that, they put me in a room with 2 full beds. They proceeded to say there was nothing they could do about it. Please do not stay here.

  I would give a 0 star rating if I could. My stay at this hotel was extremely frustrating and disappointing. When I went to check in the front desk staff told me they didn't have the double bed room I had booked almost 2 months in advance. They then took over an hour to search for an empty room and only had a single bed room for 3 people. The room they gave me was over $100 less than the room that I booked. In that room there were no towels or soap and the windows was broken and stuck open. The room faced the main road so it made for an incredibly noisy and uncomfortable night. I was offered a refund on the room by the staff but they gave me no indication that I would actually receive it. I have been unsuccessful in trying to contact the hotel as I have called over 4 times with no answer. If you value your time and money DO NOT STAY HERE. I will never again consider staying at any best western hotel.
