- AAAEJSep 22, 20261.0I’ve been staying here for years and it’s been okay. One issue that’s always been a concern is the extremely slippery shower floors, so I’ve always put a towel down as there is no shower mat. Just read another review that a guest fell and hit his head and had to call an ambulance so be very careful if you stay here. (I said something to management about this a few years ago and obviously nothing was ever done about it.) My last stay was my final one for several other reasons. I arrived for check-in very late and was exhausted so went directly to bed without really paying attention to anything. As I got out of bed I realized to my horror that there was a huge dried and crusty blood stain right in the middle of where I was sleeping, which means that the sheets weren’t changed after the last guest. (To be clear the blood stain wasn’t mine). I told the front desk so they had the sheets changed, with no apology. And then late that night there were several tornado warnings. Having grown up in the area, I take these seriously, so all 3 times that I heard the warning siren from the nearby fire station, I trudged down the stairs from the third floor to the exercise room to wait out each warning. Each time, I checked the front desk and saw no one. There are no signs anywhere regarding shelter in case of emergency. I spoke to the manager about this the next day and all he said was “oh there was a tornado warning last night?” When I expressed my concern about the lack of emergency signage, he just shrugged it off. The emergency signage once again became an issue the next evening when there was a kitchen fire in one of the suites and we all had to evacuate for over an hour and most people used the elevator instead of the stairs to get out, which of course is very dangerous during a fire especially if the electricity goes out. Also, we had to ask reception what was going on because no one bothered to tell us. So after over 10 years of being a frequent customer, it’s time for me to stay elsewhere.
