  The whole visit was fine. Quiet hotel & relaxed atmosphere. Except this morning around 9-10 going on 11 something my friend & I heard someone lightly knock & say "security". We then heard the door that was locked click open. My friend then hurriedly said something fast to get whoever it was to leave. They closed the door & left. I didnt report it then because I got side tracked & felt safe with my friend there because he was a guy. Just called to ask about it & the staff member who answered was the same guy who checked us in up front from last night. I told him this & he then claimed he checked the camera footage from 1 AM-11 AM & said nobody was there. But it happened & I know that's a lie because it caught both of us off guard & we were both wide awake. The worker claims they only have housekeeping & not security. The guy acted like he didnt want to believe me just because I didn't report it while we were there.

  Just passing through, just an average hotel for an above average price. As listed elsewhere the Skye restaurant was not open, something we were hoping to take advantage of.

  We were pleasantly surprised by the comfort and quality of this hotel. We had a king room that had a separate room down a short hallway (where there was a microwave and a small refrigerator on one side, and the bathroom on the other. It had a couch, chair, TV, and desk. In the bedroom there were night stands on BOTH sides of the bed, which is really handy so that both people can reach their water, phone, etc. On each night stand was a lamp that had outlets in the lamp which made plugging in our phones, etc very convenient. There were plenty of mirrors to help when more than one person is getting dressed. The room also was very clean. We would definitely choose to stay there again if we plan to stay in that area again.

  What a gem! The lobby is as warm as a European grand hotel. The exterior is like a New England mansion. The rooms are more luxurious than standard hotel rooms. And the restaurant is convenient, great service, good food, and a good value. Wonderful!

  When we stay in a hotel, we want a clean room, a comfy bed, and a good shower.  All else is icing on the cake. Happily, this BW came through on the basics: Our room was roomy, clean, and comfortable.  The shower was basic, but has good pressure and hot water.  The whole hotel was kept clean and well-maintained.  Staff were friendly and competent. But there's some icing, too... nice touches like a small, but nice outdoor pool and artwork throughout the hotel (even in the elevator), which also had helpful signage, such as for the WiFi info and breakfast hours so guests don't have to track them down.  The floors are labeled as well (breakfast floor, gym, ice machine, etc.).  These are small things, but they add up to a better than typical experience. The breakfast is quite decent as well, and the attendant kept the fresh food coming and the area clean.  We especially liked that we had real (ceramic) plates, bowls and mugs, and metal silverware - not down rent (and wasteful) plasticware.  We would have loved a hot cereal (oatmeal) option, but the only "fail" was ketchup packets of a no-name brand that tasted awful.  C'mon guys - get Heinz like you should! If the hotel further modernizes, we suggest shower wall-mounted shampoo + dispensers.  They have to be cheaper in the long run, are more convenient for guests than fumbling with small disposable bottles, and reduce single use plastic waste. This was our second time here.  It's a solid choice if you're in the Mentor area.
