Nice location, staff is friendly. Don't expect housekeeping, even if you ask for it. Learned to put garbage cans out in hallway if you want them emptied. Towels in hallway too to get them to pick them up and go to front desk to pick up clean ones. Carpet in room felt grimey so bring slippers to walk around. Rest of room was clean.
Had an issue with keys each day. Seemed to be a 1 time use only. We started to just get them re-keyed everytime we came back instead of trying them so we didn't have to keep going back to front desk.
Toilet got clogged and bathroom shower dripped all day but you couldn't hear it. Pool looked nice but we didn't use it. It was closed on the day we were checking out, not sure of the reason and we didn't ask.
Food was ok, basic eggs, potatoes, sausage patties, Belgium waffles, etc. Sausage patties looked old, eggs were overcooked, waffles were good; yogurt, cereal and fruit was a good substitute.
Overall, experience was ok, 2.5 stars. Only a 2 story hotel but no elevator so if you have an issue with stairs, you may want to think about it. Place needs a definite update but it was clean enough and quiet enough to lay my head down.
The absolute worst staff. Website shows a hot tub, theres no hot tub. Staff is horribly rude, no manners at all.

Where to begin? Worst stay EVER! Read on! We stayed 3 nights. Upon check in on a Thursday night, we asked to have maid service each day. The girl told me that we’d get maid service on Saturday. Ok. We were 3 in the room, my husband and I, and adult son. 2 Queen beds. Upon entering room, it was immediately cramped. The bathroom was so small it could only fit the show/tub, which was filthy by the way, and a toilet was crammed into the space no bigger than a closet. The sink and mirror had to be placed outside in the entry way because bathroom was so tiny. When you sat on the toilet you had to move to the side to close the door as your legs were in front of the door!!! Room was dark and carpet felt “icky”. We were out of the room approx 9 hrs during the day so we just needed a bed and a toilet basically. On Saturday we were out ALL DAY, and returned to the room at about 8:30 pm at night. I had to use the bathroom so ran ahead of our group, opened the door, and ran in to pee. This took 5 seconds and I was done. When I flushed the toilet, it began to plug up and back up (mind you, I did NOT poop, only pee’d). Brown water began to appear and was now filling to the top and spilling out over onto the floor! BROWN BILGE water!! By now my husband and son had caught up and were entering the room. The toilet continued to overflow this brown disgusting sludge and would not stop. I ran to the phone to call front desk. It took her almost 10 minutes to show up. By that time, there was about 1/2” of water that had flooded the bathroom floor, and began seeping out to the hall area and under the sink-mirror across from the bathroom. When the desk girl showed up with a plunger she cleared the toilet,…..and began to leave. I said “wait, we were promised maid service today which we didn’t get, and I’d like you to now send someone here to mop this hazard scene up”. She told me there was no one there to do that and she was busy. She then said she’d get me some towels to sip it up with.” WE HAD TO CLEAN THIS MESS UP OURSELVES! She left to get towels and after another 20 minutes of no return I walked to the desk. She was talking to some guy who was hanging out. I asked for the towels…and she gave me 2 fresh towels (we were three in the room) and told me she only had 2 as “they didn’t do laundry” today. I went back to room and used the old towels from previous day to dip up the floor. It was disgusting-and they made a guest do this!!!! I went back and told the girl I wanted some kind of adjustment to my bill when I check out. She got snipped with me (Cassie) and told me that she couldn’t do that and manager wouldn’t be in until Monday. We were checking out Sunday. After I got home I emailed the manager. He never answered me so after a few more days, I called him. The phone rang about 15 times before he answered it. I explained all of the above to him I detail and asked why he never answered the email. He told me he thought it was spam so didn’t even read it……I told him I wanted an adjustment to my charges, at first they gave me 15.00 off, I told him that wasn’t acceptable. He then said he’d do 90.00 (on a 365.00 charge). I told him I still wasn’t satisfied and didn’t feel that was fair. I decided to call corporate Best Western. They were no help, agreed that my stay sounded awful, but that the hotel was owned independently and there was nothing they could do to over ride what the manager did as far as compensation. She told me she could give me some extra reward points, and I told her that was my first time staying at a Best Western and it will be my last EVER! Then she told me that the manager responded to them and told them that I was rude to their employee! I was not. Stay away from the Best Western in Mansfield, Ohio. It’s just disgusting!

The Best Western I work at is twice as big and 10x more fancier and more up to date. So it's kinda hard to compare. But overall my stay Was very good! This spot is smooth, lowkey and quiet. Staff member Julia was very kind and helpful. She has that professional Ping Pong player vibe. I honestly believe that if she puts her mind to it, she can potentially become one of the best ping pong players we've seen in quite aome time!!!
