  Check in at 11pm, everyone surprised and dumbfounded I'm even there. Had to ask for point deposit. Need to be up by 7am, no worries, in room alarm clock set to 6am by someone who isn't me. I wanted to rip it out of the wall. Go to take shower after laying in bed staring at ceiling for an hour and the sliding glass door to the shower won't stay shut??? MISERABLE.

  If you stay here, make sure it is not towards the center of the hotel. There is a sitting bench there that attracts the loudest talkers on Earth that constantly wake you up throughout the night. You can hear highway noise all night here in addition to their loud mouth bench sitters who apparently never sleep.

  Unacceptable Stay – Filthy Room 306 & Dismissive Service I am usually not one to leave negative reviews online, but when a hotel room is in this kind of condition, staying silent is uncalled for. My experience at the Holiday Inn Express on Jackpot Rd in Grove City, OH was completely unacceptable. We were assigned to Room 306, and calling it "nasty" is an understatement: Walls & Baseboards: Mysterious dark spots and grime splattered across the wallpaper right next to where clean towels are stored, as well as dirty residue splattered along the backsplash and baseboards. A/C & Ventilation: The air vent grate was caked in thick, built-up dust and grime, which is concerning for anyone breathing that air. Furniture & Flooring: The upholstery on the seating was visibly stained, carpet tiles were discolored with dark spots, and trash/debris was left crammed out of sight under the furniture legs. Bathroom & Trim: The door trim near the shower had peeling paint, water damage, and accumulated grime along the bottom edge, with dust lining the door ledges. To make matters worse, basic customer service was non-existent. I would have brought these severe cleanliness issues directly to the front desk, but the woman working upfront explicitly made a comment that "she doesn't do Karens." Expecting a clean, sanitary, and properly maintained room for a paid stay isn't being unreasonable—it's standard hospitality. Management needs to address both the appalling lack of housekeeping standards in Room 306 and the unprofessional attitude at the front desk. Save yourself the headache and stay elsewhere.
