  We booked on our way home from Detroit on June 8th, through Expedia. After booking we saw reviews and news articles about car windows being smashed and cars being ransacked with things stolen. This happened THAT MORNING! We arrived to glass in parking lot and cars with plastic over windows. We felt unsafe and scared. We wanted to cancel. Expedia said they needed Holiday Inn Express permission. They refused. Countless times calling, texting and emails. Saying it was safe. That was a joke! Marya the manager was rude and even hung up on me. Do not ever stay here! IHG said it was the hotel's decision. That's garbage. Why are the even associated with them ? Overall, everyone was useless and not helpful, and had no sympathy for this situation. Clearly unsafe, as it's happened before. Do not stay here! Joke!

  First off wow for a "nice area" they claim it to be it is absolutely not. Multiple cars broken into and glass all over the parking lot. When asked for a refund due to the incidents they refuse. The manager Mariah is a liar and refuses to comprehend the situation because someone doesn't want to look bad working. Do not stay here.

  PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!!! 5 CARS WERE BROKEN INTO, DRIVERS WINDOW SMASHED TO PEICES. MY BF WATCH WAS STOLEN! There was neighboring hotels that were also broken into..I was told 12 told in the area last night, June 2026! The hotel and staff and breakfast was all wonderful but this to wake up to on our last night was absolutely horrific. Definitely won't be coming back..I'm scared.

  Our stay was very pleasant here. The hotel was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. I have problems sleeping at night.And I was out within five minutes and slept all night long. The breakfast was o k and the customer service was very professional. We will definitely stay here again!

  We have stayed in this hotel 12 days over the last 2 years. We visit family in worthington every 6 months. The quality of the hotel has drastically diminished over the last 3 visits. Specifically the free breakfast. They did away with the Jimmy Dean sausage biscuits. Then they no longer put the individual milk containers in the refrigerator. They replaced it with small pitchers of milk that you have to pour into a cup yourself. This stay there were no cinnamon rolls this morning and we no longer had a coffee maker in the room. That’s crazy. I don’t want to walk downstairs to get coffee. The staff have always been super nice. Especially the man that runs the free breakfast. He’s always very helpful. Pool was freezing cold. Not sure why it’s not heated. It is Ohio not Florida. The room we stayed in was just ok. The window sill was broken and every time I turned on the water in the bathroom sink it smelled like mildew. The toilet seat was flimsy and did not fit properly. We will look at staying at a different hotel during our next visit. It will likely be a bit further away but quality is what matters. I really hate it because we have enjoyed staying at this location but not anymore. New owners? IHG changes? Not sure. But not acceptable.
