  We recently stayed at this Holiday Inn for 1 night. Our room was nice and spacious, and the hotel was clean. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was delicious with a nice variety of options to pick from. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and the hotel was very close to Easton Town Center with plenty of shopping and dining options. I made a reservation for this hotel several weeks in advance and learned after we checked in that vehicles are frequently broken into overnight at this location and at other hotels in the area in general. My husband and I took literally everything out of our car before going to bed and parked next to the main entrance. Our vehicle was fine, but we learned at breakfast that 12 vehicles had been broken into overnight. We will not be staying in this area in general in the future based on that.

  I recently went to Columbus/Easton for a birthday celebration/dinner and to shop for a wedding dress for my daughter’s upcoming wedding. The hotel itself was somewhat dated but not horrible. Front desk staff was friendly. We stayed overnight on Saturday, upon check out on Sunday morning (11:00) when going out to load the car, discovered that my vehicle was 1 of about 10-15 other vehicles that had been broken into overnight. While I don’t blame the hotel for the break-ins I do hold them accountable for notifying guests that this had occurred prior to us walking out to our cars in the morning to find the damage. Upon checking in, you are asked to complete and sign a vehicle information paper which includes make, model, color and has assigned room number on it. So to be told there was no way to be notified is INSANE to me. Needless to say, I will NOT be staying in this hotel again nor in the area because according to other reports this is a common occurrence. I would like to acknowledge the maintenance guy (didn’t get his name) but he was very generous and helpful with cleaning each vehicle of glass debris and wrapping windows with plastic.

  Besides the point that the matrices are very bad, old, soft when you sleep, it’s like you’re going down on the floor number one, but that’s besides the point number two, my car and then other cars got broke windows. They broke into our cars, and the management didn’t do anything, so not even discount or anything, so I would never recommend this to stay for you guys because it’s not safe hotel, the security is not working there right, they have money to pay for security, but they don’t responsible for anything. They don’t even say anything, so it’s disgusting and not safe, very bad experience. Don’t ever go there, guys. Believe me, you don’t want your car to be broken and manager and the staff looking at you like saying, we don’t know, we don’t know, it happened I had to pull plastic bag to go back home👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿

  I'm writing this to reinforce the other reviews I now see mentioning car break-ins. *This is a real possibility at this hotel* We saw the older reviews on break-ins after the first night we stayed there - as well as noticing the excessive floodlights in the car park and signs warning the hotel was not responsible for break-ins. So we swapped our nicer car out for our relative's 20 year old Toyota the next day. That next night, *10* pickup trucks had their driver side windows completely smashed in. I don't even know how they did that without all the alarms going off (we heard nothing). Those poor people were sitting around waiting for the cops vs getting on with their trip/day and who know if anyone will be caught. But the fact that the hotel knows this happens frequently and doesn't hire a security guard or police patrol? That's not ok. So stay here at your own risk. I thought it would be safe being by Easton and luxury car dealers, but no. Also, the room we were in was clean but had a bad stale smell and the carpet was horribly dingy (needed a deep clean or replacement). The bathroom shower was quite bad too - shower head was old and didn't spray downwards and the shower wall seals were messy and starting to mold. Shower curtain smelled moldy too. Otherwise the rooms were cleaned by the staff very well each day - clean beds, sink, surfaces - and the staff were super nice and friendly, which really makes it a shame that they can't take care of the other problems.
