I have never seen a so called elite hotel that was so disgusting. We ended up leaving at 2:00 am because of the entire atmosphere. The rooms haven’t been updated since the 70’s. The place was filled with garbage everywhere, they literally had the white event tents taped up and should have been taken down. When we left at 2:00 am, the parking area had 2 - 36 pack corona boxes strewn in a spot, along with all the glass bottles on the ground, someone had a great party in the lot. The killer was, when we decided to leave, the partying on our floor was still going strong. We went to the desk to check out, the woman never even asked if our stay was ok, how was anything. We just left because it was apparent that she didn’t give a hoot so why tell her anything. So much for out relaxing weekend away. Mr. Emir Aziz, General Manager your little welcome note, was lovely, but clean up your hotel. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone and I’m sorry we didn’t read the reviews before booking, I am glad I wasn’t the only one with a horrible experience. We wasted over $250.00 not “reasonable “ for filth. I regret not taking pictures now, the paper falling offf in the bathroom, the stained tub, the half on half off popcorn ceiling….and I could write a book on the sticky carpet. Place is gross!

Where should i start. My sister booked the stay . Whe. Arrival and check in her room wouldnt open after 2 sets of unsuccessful key cards . Maintence had to actually open the room and make the cards actually work. Next would be great if the hot water in the shower worked correctly as it was luke warm almost room temp. The higher you turned it up the colder it got . Also heater for.room needs wired correctly and installed in the wall not just conduit hanging with an outlet. I had read this was an upscale hotel. Would be lucky to earn 1 star from our 2 day stay . The windows need washed badly. The bathroom over sink bulbs flickered and died there are big gaps where caulking would and should be. The ceilings are patched from leaks and lastly the fear of the room catching fire from the outlet just hanging out from the wall for the heater. Unfortunately the hotel was sold out both saturday and sunday for a horror con we attended . Needless to say we are an advid columbus visitor so back to olentangy river road for us. Never again at the crown plaza hotel .

Unacceptable Charges & Extremely Unprofessional Staff I recently stayed at Crowne Plaza Columbus North-Worthington from April 26–28 after booking through Hotwire for approximately $149. At check-in, I was told there would be incidental holds placed on my card and that they would be refunded. However, I later discovered multiple charges totaling around $128, along with an additional pending charge of over $60—on top of what I already paid for the room. To be very clear: I did not damage the room, order anything, or incur any charges. I am someone who goes out of my way to keep hotel rooms clean and respectful. When I called the front desk to address this, the situation became even worse. The receptionist (name: Miarin) was extremely unprofessional—raising her voice, speaking to me disrespectfully, and repeatedly hanging up on me. Regardless of frustration on either side, this is not how a guest should ever be treated. On top of that, the hotel itself had issues: * The main elevators were not working during my stay * Guests were forced to use a service elevator that was dirty (food, hair, and debris present) What’s even more concerning is that I witnessed another guest at the front desk questioning similar ~$60 charges and being told the same thing—that they were “just incidental” and would be removed. This experience left me having to dispute charges through American Express, which should never be necessary for a straightforward hotel stay. I was not planning to leave a negative review, but the combination of questionable billing practices and the way I was treated by staff made this unacceptable. I will not be returning to this hotel! EVER AGAIN

This hotel is, by far, the absolute WORST hotel I have ever been to. I can’t even say we stayed there because our room wasn’t even habitable. DO NOT STAY HERE. We were in town for a soccer tournament, and our entire group was booked here (2 teams — 22 families). Every single one of us had some kind of issue. I can’t list everything, but I’ll highlight a few. I hope the other families leave reviews as well, because it’s the only way to fully capture how DEPLORABLE this place was. The problems started immediately upon arrival. Both elevators to the tower were broken, so everyone had to either wait for the service elevator or take the stairs. Once you finally got to your room, the key cards often didn’t work. Some families had to go back to the front desk four or five times just to get inside. (At this point, just inconveniences—but still significant.) The bigger problem – some of the rooms already had occupants! Our families were given key cards to rooms that already had other guests staying in them! One even walked in on someone in the shower!! Once inside the rooms, the real problems began. Multiple families, including ours, were given only one bed despite specifically reserving two queen beds. We were given various explanations, none of which were believable. We were told we received what we requested because most rooms had pullout couches. That’s not the same, but we were still willing to work with it. The bigger issue: there were no linens for the pullouts. We had to request them—and instead of being delivered, we were told to go get them ourselves from the laundry room. Now, speaking specifically about our situation: while my wife went to get sheets for the pullout, I checked the bed and discovered the sheets were dirty, stained, and had clearly been reused. We decided to request new sheets for that bed as well, meaning we would have to remake it ourselves. This is where things went from bad to completely unacceptable. When I pulled the sheets back to show my wife, I found a fresh SEMEN stain that had not been cleaned. Fresh!! And to think—we might never have discovered it if we hadn’t tried to make the situation work. There were also numerous health and safety issues reported across our group. Here are just a few: • Fresh fecal matter on a supposedly clean, folded towel (not a stain—actual waste) • Pubic hair all over the bathroom—not just a strand or two, but covering toiletries and surfaces • Electrical conduit exposed from the wall and run under the carpet • Disconnected plumbing under the bathroom sink (not repaired despite multiple calls) • Broken room locks that looked like they had been forced open • Scotch tape sealing the door between connecting rooms (possibly to address bed bugs?) • Leaking ceilings that were so severe and loud that they woke multiple families up! Some had to move their personal belongings to keep from getting damaged! (Hopefully this was fresh water and not waste water!) • Broken glass in the courtyard pool area, which resulted in our coach cutting his foot through his sandal And no—this still isn’t everything. To top it off, the front desk staff and management were unhelpful and, in one case, even told a family they were being ungrateful.

Update: Talk is cheap and even though the owner responded to my review to say it our stay was unacceptable they still went ahead and charged me the full price. Do not stay at this hotel if you expect to receive what you paid. We checked in on a friday night for a 2 night stay. Both of the elevators were out of service the entire weekend. Our room was on the 9th floor and when we checked in no one told us the elevators weren't working. The price of the stay included breakfast. When we came down over half of the items for breakfast were missing. The fruit that they did have was bruised and/ or just barely edible. Then Our toilet was clogged in our room. We let the front desk know Saturday morning. When we got back to our room at 1 pm the toilet was still clogged. I went down the nine flights of stairs to speak to the manager to ask for a new room. Christopher the manager refused. He didnt apologize or offer any discount just stared at me like I was a fool for asking. They finally sent someone at 2 but he was not able to clear the clog and we had to get ready to leave. I called booking.com to see about a refund or a partial credit. The hotel refused again and booking offered us $11 and change for the inconvenience. This looks like it was once a nice hotel that has suffered under poor management.
