Stopped here overnight, right off of I 70 on our way home from a long trip. So pleasantly surprised with the friendly staff, cleanliness and comfort level of this hotel that I was moved to write a review. Would make this a planned stop when we travel this way again

The Holiday Inn Express at this location is one of the best, if not the best, hotel in town. I was impressed by the cleanliness, amenities, location, and value.
Room: 4/5
The room smelled clean and new. The king size bed was comfortable and spacious. The room was comprehensively and tastefully furnished with a desk and chair, armchair, kitchenette with fridge and microwave, hanging closet, and two suitcase stands. The bathroom was a good size and had complimentary soaps, shampoo, and lotion. The only minor issues I found were: the shower diverter was slightly leaky (but not enough to be "bathing" at the same time as showering), this particular room (310) was right next to the laundry chute room and would wake me up each morning, and due to this layout the entrance was narrow and close to a hanging rack on the wall.
Cleanliness: 4.5/5
The room was exceptionally clean, which I loved. The biggest thing for me is clean air, which the room had, and everything else in the room seemed clean as well. The hallway and elevator don't smell quite as clean, but there are no smells of smoke or pets. Compared to other places I've stayed in town, this is the cleanest.
Amenities: 4.5/5
The continental breakfast was served in beautiful buffet trays. The frittata, cheese omelette, and hardboiled eggs were tasty. (3.5/5) They also had some fruit and cereal. The gym was small but comprehensive, and I was able to get in pretty much a full workout with the machines and freeweights there. (4/5) There was also a full laundry room, and the pool was impressive, although I didn't manage to take a dip this time. The lobby was inviting and tastefully decorated; you're greeted with stately pillars on the outside and polished tile floors at the entrance.
Location: 4/5
Honestly it's at one of the better locations right off Southgate Parkway and near the interstate, right behind the Denny's, Sheetz, and Tesla supercharging station. The only suggestion is to fill the potholes on the road to the hotel off the main street, as well as pave a smoother transition on the entrance through the other parking lot.
Service: 4/5
The service was friendly and welcoming. They offered complimentary chilled bottled waters. Also they were able to offer me a slightly better rate when asked.
Value: 4/5
For what you get, the pricing per night is competitive, although as expected, it isn't the cheapest in town. In my opinion though, the price is worth it. Rooms range from about $110 to $150 per night before taxes.
Total Score: 4.2/5
Although not top luxury, this is a proper, clean hotel. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and I recommend it for anyone traveling through the area.

We really liked staying here. The common areas were fresh and clean, as were the rooms. Check out the photos. The location worked for us. A lot to do close by. Whether the front desk, the cleaning, or staff in the dining area, they were great. We will be staying again.
