  Great place to stay. Ckean rooms friendly staff. Coffee and breakfast was delicious a lot to choose from.

  we checked in around 3 AM and asked the front desk clerk if we can check out late so we could catch some extra sleep. She said yes we can check out at 12:30 instead of 11. (I do not blame her for this situation- accidents happen but it is how her manager REACTED that defines the situation) The next morning 5/9/26 at 11:10 we hear an incessant banging on the door, we go to answer and it’s a furious employee with two others with her saying we’ve missed our check out time and need to vacate the premises. The way she was taking you would have thought we were criminals. We explain the situation and are told “you can’t get late checkout you are not diamond members”- as if a regular customer would know that. She says the front desk employee has no right to give us late checkout and she is a manager so she is the only one with that discretion- I do not care about the structure of this hotel- to me you are ALL employees and all represent Holiday Inn. Throwing an employee under the bus is also not the way to go. Then she tells us we need to vacate by 11:30 so she can flip the room for the next guests. Oh so people are waiting for the room? Well no, because then she tells us we can stay until 12:30 if we pay for an extra night. We quickly pack up our things and leave in less than 20 minutes. As someone who has worked customer services for over 5 years, if an employee makes a mistake- you ACCOMMODATE for the client, especially if it is at no cost to yourself. However- even if you cannot accommodate you can be POLITE. Treating customers with vitriol is no way to run a business.

  Easy to get to Niagara falls, the zoo, sand the science museum! Coffee wasn't great but there are closeby Tim Hortons going either direction away from the hotel so that fixed that issue. Breakfast was good, well-stocked with variety. Clean rooms. The pool was awesome for my 1st graders! Deepest part was 4 feet and the shorter end was a little over 3 feet.
