We had a great time at Fort Ticonderoga! It was very easy to get around with a stroller, which made visiting with our family enjoyable. There are tons of fascinating displays to explore, and the botanical gardens were absolutely beautiful. The views overlooking the lake are incredible and definitely worth the visit. We highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

We came here first for the boat tour and then for the gun by night. Unfortunately we only stayed for the 2pm canon demo and then left as i really didn't want to wait around for another 6 hours. This isn't the fault of the fort by any means, rather poor planning on our part.
The visit was fantastic and its nice to see how well the kings garden has done and some of the improvements around the fort. The history lesson was pretty interesting and everyone there played their parts well answering questions... right down to the gentleman taking are of the oxen for their hoof manicure.

What a wonderful day visiting Fort Ticonderoga. The reenactment actors are absolutely knowledgeable and professional which made for such a wonderful learning experience. The shoemaking, the cooking, the sewing, the military demonstrations, just everything was so good and the fort is so well maintained. The gardens are so beautiful and the views of Lake Champlain or breathtaking.

For many years, I taught U.S. History and shared the story of Fort Ticonderoga with my students through textbooks, maps, and historical accounts. In 2011, I had the unique opportunity to visit Fort Ticonderoga in person and experience its history firsthand. Walking the grounds where so many important events of the Revolutionary War unfolded brought the stories to life in a way that no classroom lesson could. Seeing the fort, the surrounding landscape, and the historical reenactments gave me a deeper appreciation for its significance and allowed me to connect more personally with the history I had taught for so many years.
