  Love love love this hotel. So much fun. So close to NYC, easy trip by ferry and what a world away. We held an offsite here and the space was perfect, food was great and most of all, it was something different than being stuck in a boring Marriott in Midtown! Its worth the trip - which is an easy, relaxing one. I can only imagine what the weekends are like in season but we really enjoyed ourselves and the hotel had a great vibe. Cheers!

  I had my company’s staff dinner here this week and I was blown away by the level of professionalism myself and my team received from arrival to our departure. The staff in Margie’s was very attentive and kind! I met the director Robert he assisted us in from start to finish during our meal . Front desk agent Darren helped direct all of our staff members to the correct location and showed us around the property. 10/10 experience can’t wait to stay

  We are longtime Rockaway residents and have always been big fans of the hotel. We regularly eat at Margie's, love the bakery, and my mother held her 90th birthday party there last year. This past weekend, the hotel really rose to the challenge when my visiting in-laws needed a place to stay while some of our house was being renovated. They spent four nights in a one-bedroom bungalow that turned into their home-away-from-home. The ocean view, the living room area, their washer and dryer (!), the kitchen -- all of it made them thrilled to be guests. They even hosted us at their place one night and we had a blast. It's also nice to see a family-owned hotel succeed; I can't say enough good things about everyone there.

  We went for the Mother’s Day brunch with a party of 9 and unfortunately it was really disappointing, especially at $75/person. The overall experience honestly felt more like a mediocre hotel breakfast buffet than a special holiday brunch. A few lowlights: - Coffee was served in paper cups - The scrambled eggs on the buffet were green - Seven people in our group ordered omelettes and all came out runny despite asking for them well done - We found mold on a blackberry - Fries were cold - The pastry/bagel setup was extremely limited and there wasn’t even cream cheese available, just butter - No hot chocolate available for our son - Service was pretty meh throughout It was honestly kind of a depressing meal. I’ve had better buffet breakfasts at Marriott hotels. Super disappointing.

  This was my first time visiting this hotel and Rockaway Beach. I live in NYC but went with family visiting me from OH. The best part of staying here were the heated outdoor pool and the proximity to the beach - so relaxing. The sauna was also nice. The rooms left much to be desired, though. For the cost, I expected much better. We stayed in the two bedroom king bungalow and two queen room. There was some mold in the washer, in the drawers under the bed, not enough towel racks in the bathroom (although this is a problem with many hotel rooms), non-intuitive temperature controls and shower controls, and for the amenity fee, limited options for the "free" coffee and tea, which didn't seem to make sense given the cost of the amenity fee.
