  Gorgeous, top notch hotel. It feels like a luxury resort and is so close to the beach! The staff were very welcoming and our room was immaculate. We didn’t have time to check out the restaurant or spa but will next time - we plan to come back for a longer stay!

  I absolutely love this hotel it’s cozy and comfortable. It’s like a beach vacation but at home. The rooms are clean and quiet. The decor is very beautiful, large windows lets in lots of natural sunlight, extra towels and blankets literally all your heart desires. The customer service is “amazing”hotel and front desk accessibility right from your phone. There’s always someone available for you literally 24 hours. I got to the hotel around 1:40 am and Samantha checked me in she was an absolute doll. Quick and easy check in, she explained all the amenities to me and even brought me up a kettle and tea bags to help me settle in. I booked this stay for my birthday so I did the spa my second day and it was everything i needed. Clean,calm and soothing. Not to mention location is spot on just a short walk to Rockaway beach. This is my second stay and I will be back 10/10 recommend.

  We wanted to take the time to extend a heartfelt thank you to Darren, Nathaniel, and the entire team at Rockaway Hotel. It is really the people who work here that make this family-owned place special. Beyond the front desk and valet attendants, we also had warm, attentive service at the Rooftop Bar and at Margie's on the ground floor. While our stay included a few challenges - let's just say this place is maybe not the greatest if you're looking for a quiet, romantic couples' retreat on a weekend - what truly stood out for us was the professionalism of the management team. Darren (property manager) personally took the time to listen to our concerns, acknowledge the issues, and ensure that everything was handled with care. That level of accountability and guest-focused service is rare and deeply appreciated. The rooms are small but well appointed. The location is hit or miss: the beach is just a one block south, but heading a few blocks east or west can send you into some funky neighborhoods. That said, it didn't feel unsafe. We took our hotel bikes all the way out to Jacob Riis Park on one end and to Far Rockaway at the opposite end. The elevated Boardwalk itself is clean and well maintained. Definitely the main attraction as you can go miles without stopping. Also if you can arrive to Rockaway on the ferry definitely take this option. The fare is only a few bucks and it's easy to walk from the dock to the hotel. Plus you get immersed in the coastal breeze and beachy vibes to prep you for what's ahead. So the location is 3-stars, rooms get 4-stars, and again, the people who work here - especially senior managers like Darren and this team - are truly exceptional. It is their leadership and hospitality expertise that make this a 5-star experience overall. Thank you again Darren, Nathaniel, and the entire Rockaway team.   We had the most beautiful wedding at the Rockaway hotel! The entire team was truly incredible. Jay stayed with us through every step of the way on our wedding day. Erika and Jay understood our vision (simple). The vibes and atmosphere of the hotel speak for itself you do not need to add much to this beautiful venue. It was so special to celebrate our wedding in our hometown.

  I am from NYC and planned a little staycation for one night here this month.. the hotel is nice looking for sure. The front desk staff is very sweet. The room I chose was the junior suite king ocean view w terrace and paid 571.75 for one night. I opted for the $10 parking option because I wasn’t sure about finding a spot there.. I would def recommend not getting the parking added as the lot is a couple blocks from the hotel and there was plenty of street parking closer to the hotel. The hotel offers you a welcome drink upon arrival and then tells you what you have access to during your stay.. WiFi.. pool.. suana.. Thankfully, the sheets were clean but the counter tops looked like it had water marks from cups.. bathroom was cleaned okay.. the bathroom window however did not seal to fully close. The day I went, the weather was a bit cooler and it had rained most of the morning.. the pool was warm but dirty.. could have been from wind blowing things around, I don’t know. I’m mainly writing this because upon looking at my credit card statement after my stay.. I see a $55 charge was added to my card from the hotel. I called to inquire what the charge was for as no one explained to me that they would be charging my card for anything.. and I didn’t eat or drink any of the things left in the room for guest. The kind woman at the front desk explained the charge is for using their amenities.. like getting a welcome drink! Using their “free” WiFi, pool, or sauna… I told her this charge wasn’t explained to me and that it wasn’t right to charge such a thing. She then removed the charge from my credit card. Please beware of such a ridiculous charge.. the hotel is nice but it’s not worth this price or any headache that could come after.
