  We were booked recently for a 2 night stay. When we arrived day 1 we weren't informed there was a hot water issue. When we got into our room, an attempt was made to shower however there was no hot water. When approached at the front desk, the clerk said they are fixing it and it should be working later that evening. Later that evening about 4 or 5 hours later, we tried again, still no hot water. We decided to try again that next morning. Still no hot water. Approached the front desk again they again said they are working on it and it should be working that evening. That day we decided to check out because clearly this was not going to be resolved. And they told me that they spoke to Expedia and I was only able to get 18 percent refund. Unacceptable. Why would you allow for reservations knowing you had a problem with hot water? Why would you not offer refunds higher than 18 percent even if we booked through a third party? When we checked out the lady clearly didn't care and didn't even apologize. Unacceptable. I will be asking for my full money back. Anyone else that stay recently and had this same issue should do the same. My attorney is having a field day with this one. Then I called today which is Friday 7/3 spoke to a person over the phone. He was extremely rude stating that we are blaming them for having no hot water. Of course we are. Yea we stayed 1 night but should be refunded 50 percent now. Arguing with me over the phone. I don't recommend staying here ever to anyone. Take your business else where. The health department would love to hear this as well that there was no hot water but you were allowing people to check in all because your money hungry.

  Rooms spacious, and that's all it has going for this place. Carpet dingy, stupid square bed pillows, one bed had hair all over the bottom sheet, outdated coffee maker, not enough towels for a family of 4. Way too basic for my liking.

  Pros: Beds were comfortable, staff was friendly, decent breakfast, good location to visit Church History sites. Cons: I recognize this is a budget hotel, but the quality inside the rooms was definitely lacking. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, hardware coming off, looked like the bathroom hadn’t been repaired or touched up for quite some time. I was hesitant to shower for any longer than I had to and had the goal to not touch anything. Also, the daily room cleaning person came by our room at 6:30pm? We were just watching a movie on our bed when an employee used a master key to open our door, walk in, only then realizing the room was occupied. Overall: even though there were some good things about this place, I wouldn’t stay here again. It just made me uncomfortable being in the room.

  Stayed here before and it’s definitely changed. Breakfast was terrible—basically non existant the first morning. Carpets were dirty—beginning with the entry hall staircase. Floors were sticky- especially in the bathroom. Roll away was so terrible, but to their credit, they allowed us another mattress and blanket to buffer the springs. Bathroom sink had hot water only and there was a crack in the tub. There is no where to buy a snack as the gift shop no longer exists. Overall, it’s dirty. But, location is perfect.

  We booked the two-queen room with a couch bed. The room was decent with ample space for us. However, there was no bedding in the room for the pull-out bed, and only two towels were available. When we asked for more towels, they said we would have to wait until housekeeping arrived at 8:30 AM. We had planned to leave by 8:00 AM. The AC unit barely worked in the room even running it to its most powerful setting we still had to open the window to cool the room to make it somewhat comfortable. The whole hotel was very warm. Their "full breakfast" was very lackluster, nowhere close to a full breakfast, especially not compared to Best Western commercials. It consisted of bagels, toast, and 3 cereal options. We used the laundry room. It makes you download an app. Or you can tap your card. We could get the app to work so we tapped and it put $8.00 hold per washer and per dryer load. We sat in the lobby waiting and noticed the lack of dusting in the common areas. Entry table was dusty enough that people had written their names in the dust. There was a sewer smell and they walked around spraying a fragrance. The carpets are really dirty and warn. Especially on the stairs. When we checked in they never told us that there was an elevator available. We didnt find it til later after we watched multiple elderly people slowly climb the stairs. There is a lot more. But this was definitely not the stay we felt we were going to get based off reviews and hotel/room description.
