I usually do not do reviews on hotels. I try to work out a solution with management. However, this is an exception. Never coming back to this property anymore. I killed two baby roaches my first night and decided to stay quiet. I figure not to make a fuss since I was there for two nights. I woke up this morning to check out and had visitor in the attached photo. Offering 3,000 points on my next stay is a slap to the face. We are charged financially for damages to the property. To tell me you cannot do anything about my complaint is insulting. Fix your pests problem.

This was easily one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever experienced. The room had an in-suite kitchen, but there were no utensils, plates, or other basic kitchen supplies. The stovetop did not work, and the ice maker was also non-functional.
There was no water available anywhere in the hotel, not even in the gym. The TV in the room also did not work.
The hotel itself is very old and in poor condition. Between the lack of basic amenities and the number of things that simply didn’t work, this was an extremely disappointing stay.
Overall rating: 0/10. I would not stay here again and was glad my stay was only one night but even that was too long to stay in this hotel.

This was theeee worst hotel experience! First of all when I booked the room I was unaware of the $100 hold they would need until the day of check in, but no big deal maybe it was an oversight on my part…. Second when I arrive the hotel is under construction on the first floor, there was no announcement of that whatsoever. When I arrive to my room, the floor has visibly just been mopped, was not dry yet and the door was still opened so they must’ve JUST finished mopping, so when I walked into the room I’m leaving dirty foot prints on the floor. Third, the room itself was ok as far as cleanliness the fridge was disgus to be and not clean and there was a broken smoke alarm. I just took pictures of these things and noted that I was only staying there over night and would only be there to sleep later as I was in town to spend time with my nephew. After spending the day at my nephews house I arrived back there later that evening, the tvs were not working (one didn’t cut on at all, the other didn’t have input to actually watch any channels). When I went into the room to call the front desk, guess what there was no phone. I had to walk to the front desk to voice my concerns and was met with an apology and was told the phone line was cut due to the construction (again no warning of this prior to the check in). I was told I can use my cell phone to call the front desk if needed. As for the hold on my card I was told it would release within 1-2 business days. When it didn’t I was told it would take 5-7 business days. When it didn’t I was told 10 business days “for sure”. Then lastly was told well if im using Venmo or Cash App it would take up to 30 days. When I call to ask for confirmation that they released the hold the manager was extremely rude, cutting me off and telling me they basically can’t do anything more for me, that’s it on Cash App. The manager also stated that because they’re not the ones who took my money they can’t give me any receipt when I literally handed over my card and if over to them. Long story not so short, my experience with them overall was horrible and would never recommend this particular location to anyone.

This is NOT a Candelwood. It has the name on the sign, but if you are looking for all of the things that bring you to Candlewood you won't find them. First, the room smelled like a dirty mop bucket the entire time. There is no desk chair or desk. Also, the only chairs are dining room chairs and HORRIBLY stiff living room chair. The couch is also STIFF. Do you like using the kitchen? Well, there are no dishes in it. At all. NO silverware, cups, plates, nothing at all. When I asked the desk about it, they said that they keep the dishes behind the desk because of "renovations." Are they renovating our rooms while we are there? What does a renovation have to do with basic silverware and dollar store plates?
The internet is slow, the door lock took 10 to 20 tries before it would work, there was no pillows or blankets for the fold out bed in the couch. The ONLY good thing about this hotel was the bed was pretty good. That's it.
The best part is when I tried to talk to the front desk about needing a desk/desk chair because I'm there for work, he said they don't have any at all, then laughed about it. Later he said he could move me to a different room that had one. Well isn't that a miracle? Somehow they came up with one. Long after I had already unpacked and gotten situated.
Do yourselves a favor: Stay at one of the other hotels nearby. There's a Holiday Inn Express 100 feet away staring at this sad excuse for a Candlewood reminding us all that we are just a cancellation request away. I wish I had done that. EDIT: I read their response. If they wanted to be helpful, why didnt they do it while I was there? Why wait until after I leave to copy and paste some level of caring?
