  We booked a non-smoking room, but as soon as we entered, there was a strong smell of what seemed to be marijuana. That was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. The bathtub was also in poor condition, and it appeared that the drain was not working properly. Another major concern was the $200 security deposit taken at check-in. We were told that it would be returned within 5–7 business days after checkout. My question is: when it comes to late checkout, guests are not allowed even a few extra minutes because the room needs to be prepared for the next customer. So why does it take 5–7 business days to release the security deposit? If there are no damages or issues, it would be much more reasonable to release it immediately after checkout. I would also strongly recommend that management check and service the AC units and filters. The AC in our room did not appear to be properly maintained, and the air felt dirty and unpleasant to breathe. This is a serious concern when it comes to guest comfort and safety. Overall, this was not a good experience, and unfortunately, I would not recommend this property. I would suggest looking for another hotel.

  I’m so frustrated as the lady at the front desk in the night says breakfast is included and then in the morning we had to be embarrassed enough to walk back all the way from the breakfast area to ask these people if it was included. The lady in the morning says it’s not included in it otherwise it would be $40 more than your price. Really dissatisfied and disappointed with this type of treatment in holiday Inn. I would not recommend anyone anymore staying specially at this location.

  My husband and I stayed on a weekday for $200 per night, an additional $20 for parking + $16 resort fee + $40 for breakfast, which felt a bit high and annoying to pay for the amenities usually included in the room. The weekend prices are even higher!! We stayed on the 7th floor. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was soft and very comfortable. The hotel is located within walking distance to Niagara Falls, which made sightseeing really easy. It’s a great option if you want to stay close to the Falls and walk to watch the fireworks.

  While the location was a big advantage in getting to the state park and Goat Island, and the fact that the staff were mostly helpful in getting us what we needed, including giving us our room early, my main concern lies in the room. The room smelled strongly, and something resembling a spider was visible inside the toilet and did not go away when flushed. Furthermore, the hotel-provided telephone was dead and did not work. There is fast food nearby, such as a Subway and Papa Johns. However, claims that it is the closest hotel to Niagara Falls are false, as other hotels such as the Comfort Inn The Pointe are closer. The elevators are a bit shaky and old, but other than that the property seemed modern and the lighting of the hotel exterior was great. Overall, not bad, but my experience was a bit tarnished by the smell and the bathroom. Overall, this hotel is worth staying in, but if you don't like anything about the room, ask the front desk for a different one.

  Overall good stay but please don't book a room at 2nd floor (even numbers) room which has a window facing towards a wall + connecting doors. While checking-In, I requested to front desk give me a room which has a window and a view (any view works), the lady gave me a room at 2nd floor where window facing towards a wall, when I immediately asked to change my room she said they don't have any other rooms available, I asked for a paid upgrade which she also denied saying that she can't create a new room for me, all are booked, then I came back to my room and and found a connecting door which has broken lock, I raised a complaint at front desk asked them to fix this immediately, they sent a maintenance guy who said he won't be able to fix this now and he informed from desk to change my room, then a front desk guy (Ahmed) understood my pain and upgraded my room with a better view. So, I would like to say Thanks to the maintenance guy and Ahmed for their situation awareness and providing a better customer experience.
