Refined, sophisticated, smart and simple, yet flamboyant and provocative, all at the same time. Our universally appealing guest rooms & hotel are thoughtfully designed, down to every last finish and detail, with distinct zones for sleeping, relaxing, working and entertaining.
Great location. Rooms are very chic. Very “designed” hotel. Lots of fun light features. Weird restroom / sink setup, but all things considered a decent use of space.
Sales staff, especially a Nicolle, absolutely phenomenal. So patient and wonderful to work with. Front desk staff a little less so.
For the price — why the hell are we using single ply sand paper toilet paper!? Awful. Not ok.

I definitely do not recommend staying at this hotel. The rooms are extremely small and feel very low quality, almost as if the walls were made of drywall. This hotel is not really a hotel — it’s basically a nightclub. My room was literally shaking from the noise all night long, and I couldn’t sleep at all.
On top of that, the room was extremely dirty. I actually stayed there last week as well, and the room was not properly cleaned then either. I even ended up getting athlete’s foot from staying there.
Also, when housekeeping comes to “clean” your room, they basically just make the bed but leave all the trash and dirt behind. They do not actually clean anything.
This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, and on top of everything, it is incredibly expensive.

The absolute best hotel in NYC. It is in the perfect spot with access to trains in every corner. The room was extremely comfy, warm, and cozy. It was my girlfriends birthday and they went ahead and upgraded our rooms and provided us with a wine bottle and a little dessert with a handwritten note. I could’ve have not asked for a better experience! Amazing bartenders as well, great service, great drinks.

Solid place. Nice lobby / front desk. The couch there wasn’t very inviting tho. Room was spacious. The bench was a unique touch. The toiletries disappoint. The view doesn’t. The cleaning staff was an added bonus. Having a fresh room at arrival and mid-arrival is nice. Not expected for a hotel. The gym was spacious. Scrumptious. Indulged an entire Van Leuwen ice cream pint post gym session. However the fresh pasteries in LOUIS were not fresh. Big disappointment.
Co-working space on Lobby L was active and a place to spot. I prefer to be closer to the elevators. The window area with couches to me is: off.
$51 of free credit ran up real quick. I was 40% over within 3 days. Nice touch though.
Have a great one -

Public Hotel in New York is always my first choice whenever I’m in the city—it just never misses. There’s something about the balance they strike between style and comfort that feels effortless. The rooms are exactly what I want every time: clean, thoughtfully designed, and somehow both minimal and warm. And the service? Always on point. The team is attentive without being overbearing, and everything just works the way it should. It’s one of those rare places where you know exactly what you’re going to get—in the best possible way, and that consistency is what keeps me coming back.
