Check-in process was smooth, efficient, and fast. The front desk was not cluttered and designed with minimalist approach. The front desk professionals are knowledgeable and helpful.
The rooms are very clean, minimalist, without much clutter, its very appealing to the eyes. The hotel is very detail oriented in its cleaning. Everything appears bright, orderly, efficient, and with efficient of technology. Nothing appears hard to operate.
Valet parking is excellent. Attendants were quick and efficient in retrieving my car. I waited less than 10 minutes from the time I spoke to the attendant to the time I received the car.
The hotel is highly recommended to anyone who wants to be in San Francisco but away from the Union Square. I don't think anyone will be disappointed.

The LUMA Hotel Times Square is our go-to hotel whenever we visit New York City.
Location:
Just a few steps from Times Square, you have easy access to all the subway lines you could need. Bryant Park is also just a short walk away, such a fun place to stop, sit for a while, and take in the buildings around you.
LUMA is within walking distance of many of the city’s attractions, or, if you’re like me and simply love walking the streets of NYC, it’s a great base for exploring the city.
The hotel:
The rooms are very comfortable, the beds are excellent, and the reception staff is extremely helpful and really takes care of you.
This time we stayed as a family of four, with two teenagers, in one large room with two king-size beds. The room was spacious enough for all four of us, even for a 10-day stay. We were on the 25th floor, facing a brick wall, so there wasn’t much of a view, but the huge advantage was that the room was incredibly quiet at night, which is quite something considering the location.
When I was searching for a hotel for this trip, LUMA stood out because it offered one of the largest rooms I could find at the best price for our 10-day stay. I kept looking at alternatives- two rooms, larger rooms, different hotels- but nothing came close in terms of value for a family of four.
This was not our first stay at LUMA, and I’m sure it won’t be our last.

I was having a bathroom emergency and popped in to see if I could use the loo. I was met by the most vile and dismissive front desk hostess. When someone says ‘I’m having an emergency’ the answer is empathy. I understand it’s for hotel guests, but I have a disability and sometimes need a bathroom urgently. I can understand a no, but this curly haired lady was so dismissive and rude I made sure I will NEVER allow anyone in my family or business to ever book a hotel here under any circumstances.

Staying here now, seprember 2026
Love this place. Amaizing location, Exceptional service, unbelievably clean and shiny everywhere. Rooms are not big, but so cozy, especially cozy and well designed bathrooms and showers. Beds are very comfortable, all linens and towels are exceptionally clean and fresh.
My kid loved an amaizing experience of the room deliveries, done by robots. We got the call to the room and the robot is calling, saying waiting at the door.
Everyrhing is just neat at this hotel, leaving the warm memories of our New York stay!

I have never experienced this level of poor communication and lack of accountability from a hotel.
I am writing this review after approximately three months of trying to resolve an issue involving my Invisalign aligner, which was accidentally discarded by hotel housekeeping during my stay. I provided all of the information requested and was repeatedly told that the matter had been escalated to Upper Management.
I was then told that George would be made aware of the situation and would contact me directly. I waited. And waited. Still nothing. No phone call, no meaningful update, and no resolution.
I have also called the hotel directly multiple times, only to find that I cannot get through to anyone who can actually provide an answer or connect me with the person handling my case.
What makes this especially frustrating is that I have done everything that was asked of me. I have been patient, responsive, and more than willing to resolve this directly with LUMA. Instead, I have spent months repeatedly chasing the hotel for an update on an issue that should have been addressed by management.
At this point, the problem is not simply that an item was lost. It is the complete lack of follow-through afterward. Being told something has been “escalated” means very little when nobody actually follows up.
Three months of waiting, repeated emails, unanswered calls, and no resolution is completely unacceptable. If this is how LUMA Hotels handles a legitimate customer complaint, I would seriously reconsider staying here.
I expected basic communication and accountability. Instead, I was left feeling completely ignored.
Very disappointing experience from start to finish
