  It is a fun hotel to stay at. Service was excellent, bed was comfy, rooms were clean, bathrooms were pretty. We were in and out for a weekend and it was perfect for what we needed. Rooms are on the smaller side, and there is a "resort fee" that is kind of silly as it is not a resort, but that is big city hotel situations for you. The burger place attached is great. We were able to walk to most of our events that we were in town for due to the location, and for the price we were very pleased. The entire staff should get a kudos from the front desk, to the restaurant, to the bar tenders, they were all very accommodating and VERY kind.

  Hotel Rooms are fine in general but we encountered several problems. 1 - Upon arrival before check in hours we were promised room on floor 12th (biggest room in the hotel since we were there for a week) 2 - When checking in with different recepcionist and Jay (the manager or similiar) we were informed such room did not exist and were given a room with only one bed. After complaining they put us in a wheel chair accesible room with shower curtain. Our reservation was for the Double Queen which according to the website had 3 windows and two queen bed. 3 - The folllowing day they put us in a room with proper shower glass but only we one window. We took it anyway. 4 - After our second night something failed in the AC and the floor had a huge puddle of water, since we noted late at night e dry it with towels, the next morning I noticed something on the floor next to my bed. FAKE EYELASHES FROM A PREVIOUS GUEST! Informed of this and the AC to the hotel, and to my surprised in the afternoon after "room cleaning" department had serviced the EYELASHES were still there. Very poor cleaning. 5 - Had to once more talk to recepcion and they sent someone to clean this area. For all this very serious inconvenience they allowed us to leave the room at 1pm instead of 11am. (NOT GOOD ENOUGH) 6 - To top it all upon checking out they charged us USD 34 per day plus tax! for facility usage. (A room on the second floor with water, coffe, tea and in two brife ocations some fruit and buiscuits). This charge was not optional and was not informed to us upon check in. Otherwise I would have refused usage and just by 2 waters every day from any store. Hated the way the ruined everything they had fixed with hidden charges like this.

  Kixby, will be seeing us again in the future. Not only is the hotel close to the Subway but also close to Tine’s Square and other attractions. The hotel is clean and modern. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Second floor has the bevi flavored water system and y hotel gave us two complimentary water bottles in the room to fill with the flavored water for our stay. In the morning we were wished a good day and asked if we needed anything. Our room was nice, the rain shower felt great after a long trip. Lol the cute little notes to remind you about costs if you take items home were funny. Frette robes were nice. The sheets were crisp and the bed was nicely made and tucked in. My only complaint were the pillows were too soft, the hotel may want to get a set of firm pillows for the rooms (I did not ask for alternate pillows I will make note) The rooftop bar is a separate entity but the hotel did let me relax up there while the bar was closed. From my hospitality based training, they do check pretty much every bar, Ritz maybe impressed.

  Hotel staff were friendly, rooms were very clean, comfortable beds, great water pressure and temperature. Was not a fan of the noise outside at night, I would request a room not on the street. Also the rooms do not have black out curtains so there is street light that gets into the rooms. The biggest issue I had was with a $30 per day facility charge for WiFi and coffee/tea. These are standard amenities in a boutique hotel of this level so shocked for an additional charge and no option to opt out from this fee per day.

  My wife and I came to the city for her birthday and our 25th anniversary. This was our first time staying at Kixby but it won’t be our last. First, you couldn’t ask for a better location. Tons of great restaurants very close and the subway is a couple feet down the block. I emailed two days before we arrived asking for some special attention for my wife. It was last minute so I didn’t even expect them to acknowledge the email. Well that did. They game us a huge room with little gifts and notes around the room. It was very nice and she really appreciated it! I have to mention the staff. Every single person we came in contact with was so nice. You can really tell they want to be there. 10/10
