Nice hotel. Staff is incredibly friendly. Bernie, I remember him , always willing to help. The morning host in the breakfast, curl girl she is incredibly lovely… the only one thing I didn’t like is noisy city inside the rooms. If u wanna have good night sleeps go upper 28? Maybe. I was in 22nd floor and I had issues to sleep the three first night . The rest of the week , it was ok sleep. The gym is complete, just little confuse when you are looking for it in the third floor. Walk walk walk and you will find it, don’t feel afraid of the hallway 😂 the train blue line is right underground of to the hotel, so is perfect. No need to walk blocks.

Beautiful hotel and great breakfast, but they have to sort out their noise problems. The A/C in my first room on the third floor was rattling so hard no human couldn't sleep through it, so I moved rooms the 7th floor and then the second room there was some insanely loud machine noise (think a loud refrigerator whirr but 10x the level) that went on all day, all night, for my entire stay and I had terrible sleep. Even if the hotel is beautiful, the staff are nice, the location is great, and the breakfast was tasty, if I can't sleep due to crazy loud noises (even through earplugs), then the hotel has failed at it's one job :(

The front desk told us we would be charged $300 for using the mini bar but we HAD NOT touched ANYTHING from the mini bar. She assured us if everything was there then there wouldn’t be a problem and wouldn’t be charged those $300. We agreed and left. The next day I see a $300 charge even though we told them we did not touch ANYTHING from the mini bar. We never saw a mini bar to begin with. In every hotel I’ve been in I’ve never had a problem with this. Seeing other reviews talking about being charged for the mini bar they never touched seems very sus to me now. Like do you think I don’t have bills to pay? $300 is a lot. Seems like this company steals money from people. This is unacceptable

I booked a Premium Skyline room (30th floor or above) at InterContinental Times Square two months in advance to celebrate a special anniversary trip with my fiancé. The hotel confirmed this room type and floor. As an IHG member who has previously enjoyed InterContinental stays, I expected a seamless, welcoming experience. Instead, this was the worst IHG stay I’ve had in the US. • Our guaranteed high‑floor Premium Skyline room was not honoured. We were placed well below the 30th floor, with none of the promised skyline effect we had chosen—and paid for—for our anniversary. • From arrival, basic in‑room elements did not work: the minibar was locked, the room phone was dead (twice reported, never fixed), and a hot‑water faucet was faulty and had to be forced closed by us, not maintenance. • On the second day, we returned from shopping to find our room keys no longer worked. At the front desk we repeatedly asked if anything was wrong and were simply handed new keys. Only on the third trip down were we finally told that the hotel had tried to charge our card the night before checkout, and when it did not go through, they had locked us out and cut power to the room. Because of this, my fiancé and I ended up brushing our teeth in a dark bathroom using our phone torches, and member privileges like bottled water were effectively revoked. At no point did anyone call, email, or knock on our door before taking this extreme step, even though we were mid‑stay and had already paid a deposit. When we finally understood what happened, we explained that our card has a fraud‑prevention feature that blocks unannounced charges from merchants. We paid immediately, even though our stay was not over and there were still breakfast and other charges to come. This could have been resolved in minutes with a simple courtesy call, instead of multiple humiliating trips between a locked room and the front desk. More than the technical issues, it was the attitude that disappointed us: being treated as if we had done something wrong, our questions brushed aside, and an aggressive, unexplained lock‑out on what was meant to be a special occasion. I have stayed at several InterContinental and other IHG hotels and previously trusted this brand. This stay fell far below the standard I associate with InterContinental, both in basic operations and in respect for guests. I hope senior management reviews this case and ensures no other guest is ever locked out and left in the dark over a routine, poorly communicated payment check.

Rooms are satisfactory. Location is good as long as you're happy to be close to centre of Times Square. Dirtier location than many others though. WARNING, and this probably applies to all hotels in the US, they're the kings of squeezing extra cash out of you through 'Fees', 'Taxes' 'Taxes on Fees' & 'Taxes on Taxes'. Check your bill daily or you'll end up with BILL SHOCK at the end of your stay. And don't be naive enough to think the $20 credit per day they 'give you' back from the $40 per day Amenities Fee is wonderful because by the time the address their fees and taxes and taxes on taxes, a small bottle of juice from the mini bar supposedly $11 ends up costing $15, so if you had 2 bottles, they'd end up costing you $10 after the $20 credit. That's more than you can get them in the supermarket around the corner. Never experienced such price gouging anywhere in the world as we have in the US. Won't get caught again.
