Our experience started off very disappointing. Check-in was supposed to be at 3:00 PM, but we arrived at 4:45 PM and were told that our room still wasn’t ready. More than an hour later, at 5:45 PM, we were still waiting to receive our room. Traveling with a baby and a toddler made the delay especially difficult and stressful. After a long day of traveling, we expected to be able to settle into our room, but instead we were left waiting in the lobby with two young children. The manager, Ariel, apologized for the inconvenience and kindly offered us breakfast vouchers, which we appreciated. However, this did not make up for the significant delay. I’ve stayed at many hotels and have never experienced having to wait this long past the official check-in time for a room. I hope the hotel improves its room readiness and check-in process so future guests, especially families with young children, don’t have the same experience.

I primarily booked this hotel to enjoy the pool and have a few relaxing days. I checked in around 10:00 p.m., and the following morning I went to the front desk to ask about the pool hours. I was then informed that the pool was closed for maintenance. What made this especially disappointing was that I had called the hotel the same evening before checking in and was told that the pool was open. Receiving inaccurate information significantly affected my stay, as the pool was the main reason I chose this hotel. To make matters worse, we contacted customer service to try to resolve the issue and spent nearly two hours on the phone being transferred back and forth. During that time, there was difficulty locating our reservation, and even the hotel was unable to find our information at first. The entire experience was frustrating and took away valuable time from what was supposed to be a relaxing stay.

Great locations. Rooms are fine. The issue is Mr. Purple, a nightclub on the 15th floor. When the club is hosting a DJ, it’s not a bar, it’s a nightclub. Our rooms were on the 12th floor and on our last night (Thursday), the music was literally shaking the walls. With an early flight the next morning we asked if we could be moved to a lower floor. Eventually they agreed and two of us went down to the 4th floor, where the music could still be heard. The club closed at 3am. It was honestly almost comical. Try sleeping right below the dance floor of a nightclub. My recommendation: take your chances Monday through Wednesday, and then only if you can book a lower floor. Thursday through Sunday find somewhere else. They need to figure out if this is a hotel or a club. It can’t be both.

Definitely my favorite hotel in NYC. Gorgeous rooms with so many options for different views of the city on top of having a rooftop pool/ bar that is high energy and so much fun. The staff is super helpful and friendly as well. Immediately walking in Tiberius made us feel super welcome and taken care of. The check in process was super fast and he gave us a full run down of what to expect and the following days making sure we were absolutely enjoying our stay. Our room is absolutely stunning as well. We selected the "Freedom Tower View" and he made sure we were on a high floor which I didn't even ask for and appreciate him doing that for us so much! The location is so close to everything we've been walking everywhere. I'm already planning our next stay here!

This review is overdue but necessary. On July 7/8/25 my husband and I checked out, it was at 4am due to us having a plane to catch. This was our second stay for the year. We enjoyed the location and hotel. When I returned home I received an email with new mini bar charges and some disgusting pictures of soiled sheets. There was also a charge to clean the sheets. We never used the mini bar and the hair etc on the sheets was long and light brown, I have short black African American hair. Clearly, after we checked out someone went and used our bed and mini bar. The charges were removed by the front desk manager and an apology was made. It definitely left a very bad memory in my mind and I will not only never recommend Hotel Indigo, but I do not think it was handled as well as it could’ve been. Please be aware and check your statements.
