  Very disappointing stay at the Holiday Inn Express Midtown West Manhattan. What made the experience particularly frustrating was that there was absolutely no prior warning when booking that major construction work was taking place directly outside the hotel entrance. For 4 days of our trip, guests were effectively walking through a building site. Tonight I was literally stepping over freshly laid tiles while workmen were drilling beside guests entering and leaving the hotel. I have genuinely never experienced anything like it at a hotel and it raises the question as to why the hotel remained open during such extensive works. The drilling started around 8:30am every morning and, being on the 3rd floor, it regularly woke us up. To make matters worse, breakfast had been moved from the lobby area into the gym. This created a bizarre situation where guests were eating breakfast beside toilets. It felt chaotic and completely unsuitable as a dining area. The rooms are also tired Unfortunately, the staff were generally very uncommunicative throughout the stay. Most interactions felt like an inconvenience, with questions often met by little more than a grunt or groan rather than any real customer service. Overall, the lack of communication before and during the stay was extremely poor. Had guests been properly informed in advance about the scale of the disruption, many would likely have chosen alternative accommodation. See photos if you don’t believe me. I was trying to put an official complaint into holiday inn but as usual their complaint system is just a crystal maze of complexity. Sadly you’ll not see me back here and warn others of booking certainly in the short term without checking.

  Excelente ubicación, buen desayuno Basico pero suficiente, habitaciones pequeñas pero es NY así es en todos lados, atención del equipo muy buena , buen lugar para hospedarse en NY.

  Estive no hotel na época do Natal , eu gostei muito . Atendentes muito atenciosos , café da manhã bem servido e uma excelente localização.

  I was placed on a floor undergoing active renovations. This was not disclosed to me at any point during booking or prior to my stay. At around 10-11 am the first morning, there were noisy power tools and strong paint smells making it impossible to stay in the room. Housekeeping came through once, and I noticed that an expensive makeup palette went missing off the dresser where I left it. I really dug through all my luggage to make sure it wasn’t misplaced, but I know where I set it with my other makeup and it was straight-up stolen. Classy. The rest of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room itself was very clean and comfortable, and fairly spacious for NYC. The location is excellent. But I like Holiday Inns for their easy reliability, and this really tarnished my impression of the brand.

  Je mets 3 étoiles, non pas pour le personnel, souriant et accueillant toujours présents en cas de problème. Ce qui a été notre cas, une réservation à etage élevé a été faite par notre agence, nous nous retrouvons au niveau -1 pas du tout accueillant les fenêtres sont sales la porte se ferme à peine..après une demande auprès des réceptionnistes le lendemain nous avons retrouvé une chambre déçante ! Et heureusement car au niveau-1 qql jours suivant des travaux ont commencé. Pour le pti dej un vrai pti dej américain ne pas s attendre à un dej européen. Nous cela nous a convenu par contre la salle est vite remplie et bruyante. Hotel a rénover! Avec un local poubelle cela évitera la rencontrer avec des nuisibles !!
