  The staff is wonderful - kind patient and helpful. Room was exactly what I needed and courtyard room was quiet.

  Honestly such a terrible stay at this hotel and will never stay here again. The service is terrible. The rooms are dirty, hair all over our bed when we arrived. The ac is extremely loud and makes a loud clicking noise everytime it turns on and off. They forgot to clean our room so they had to come at 5pm when we were getting ready for dinner which was very inconvenient. We forgot our umbrella in our room when we were in a rush and asked lobby if they have any extras and they said no there’s one in your room. Like really? You don’t have any extra umbrellas? Asked for extra water in our room but you are only limited to 2 waters a day. Paid $1800 for 3 nights and this is the experience we get. Will never stay here again

  Very disappointing stay at Arlo SoHo. I booked a courtyard-facing room, but Room actually faced the city and did not match the room description I reserved. On top of that, the window lock was broken, so the window could not properly seal and the street noise was extremely loud inside the room. Hotel Engineering spent almost an hour trying to fix it but could not. The hotel was fully booked, so I could not move rooms, and the only alternative offered was earplugs, which they did not even have available. Between being given a different room than what I booked and then having to stay in a room with a broken window and excessive noise, this was not the experience I paid for. I also have video showing the broken locking mechanism and how loud the room was. Horrible hotel experience

  Really nice space and location. Hard to beat. While the room is small, it's very common in NYC. They don't have a gym but they give you a free pass to a local gym that's under a 10 min walk (Gotham Gym). I highly recommend bringing ear plugs. It is noisy outside and their walls are thin. Also you can hear water pipes. So definitely be mindful of the noise.

  I’m a big fan of Arlo Hotels and have previously stayed at their Midtown, NoMad, and Williamsburg locations, all of which were great experiences. Unfortunately, Arlo SoHo was a major disappointment. The hotel: The property itself is modern and clean, but the rooms are exceptionally small, even by NYC standards and Arlo standards. The location: Not particularly convenient. It’s about a 15–20 minute walk to the nearest subway station or the heart of SoHo. The hotel is also located right by the entrance to the Holland Tunnel, which means there’s almost always heavy traffic when trying to get back by car. The service: By far the most disappointing part of our stay. The front desk staff I interacted with were consistently rude, unfriendly, and unhelpful. And I don’t mean in the stereotypical New York blunt or direct way. The interactions were genuinely unpleasant. The worst experience came when we asked the front desk to arrange a taxi to JFK so we could take advantage of the $70 flat fare for NYC yellow cabs. I specifically confirmed with the staff that they would be booking a yellow cab, and they assured me they would. Instead, they arranged a private black car that initially quoted us $110 and ultimately charged us $125. I can’t say whether the hotel has some sort of revenue-sharing arrangement with the car service, but being explicitly told we were getting a yellow cab and then being put into a significantly more expensive private car was incredibly frustrating and left a bad impression
