Arol Nomad is located in the heart of Manhattan, making it a great location for exploring many of the city’s tourist attractions. You can even see the Empire State Building directly from some of the rooms, which was a nice touch. The front desk staff were excellent, and I really appreciated that my room was ready before the official check-in time. The hotel also has a dining area downstairs, which is convenient for grabbing a quick bite. The rooftop is another highlight—it offers great views of the Manhattan skyline and the Empire State Building, along with drinks and dining. Now, for what was disappointing. Housekeeping: I stayed for three nights, and housekeeping never came by my room unless I specifically requested service. On the first day, I received an automatic message asking about my stay. I responded asking if it was expected that housekeeping would not come by to replace towels or provide water. Someone eventually came to my room, but they left the used towels on my bed, which I found unacceptable. I responded to the text again, and someone from the hotel called me, apologized, and said they would speak with their supervisor. Unfortunately, the issue continued. The following day, my towels were not replaced and no water was provided. I saw housekeeping staff servicing other rooms during my stay, but they never came to mine. For the price of the hotel, I expected a much higher standard of housekeeping service. Elevators: The elevators are extremely slow. If you have a driver or ride waiting for you downstairs, I recommend leaving your room at least a couple of minutes early. The wait can be long enough that your driver could potentially leave before you make it downstairs. Overall, I enjoyed the location, ambiance, rooftop, and front desk service. However, the housekeeping and elevator issues significantly affected my experience. These are two areas that I believe the hotel should improve, especially considering the price point.

This was the best hotel I ever stayed at! I booked this for me and my friend for our first time in nyc. Check in was easy and simple, customer service was amazing. The room I booked for was the sky queen the views were phenomenal and the room had everything we needed. I would definitely have them on my list for hotels to return to. Lastly shout out to Brianna at the front desk! The work she did for me to make sure my stay was the best as possible was above and beyond and her aura was the icing on top.

I booked and paid extra for a Skyline View room, but when I checked in, my room was facing a wall with absolutely no skyline view. That was extremely disappointing, especially since I was celebrating my birthday. Advertising those rooms as “Skyline View” when they clearly are not is misleading and feels like false advertising. The only reason I’m not leaving a one-star review is because one employee truly turned the experience around. After explaining the issue, a young lady made sure I was moved to the room I had actually paid for the very next day. Thanks to her, the rest of my birthday trip ended on a much better note, and I really appreciate the excellent customer service she provided. Arlo needs to ensure that rooms marketed as Skyline View actually have a skyline view. Guests shouldn’t have to complain just to receive the room they paid for.

The Arlo brand normally is synonymous with very small rooms and that is the case here as well. The sink is located outside the bathroom, which isn’t even a standalone room…but rather the shower is part of the “wall” with a sliding glass door next to it. No drawers in the room and very little counter space that would barely fit a laptop. No coffee machine. Besides that, it has a nice lobby and bar area like most other Arlos. These are normally busy (probably bc people dont want to hang out in the small rooms) Id really only stay here if it was much cheaper than other options.

DO NOT book the ART Rooftop for an event. We had the worst possible experience doing an open bar event for a birthday. There was 0 coordination amongst the staff. Took over 35 minutes to get our 1st round of drinks. The drinks were god awful, the 2 "signature cocktails" they let us select to be included were even worse. When we asked about them we were told they're all pre mix batch drinks.....Which is Not how they're advertised. On top of poor drinks & service, we were charged for an extra 3 people, ~$200, and when asked for a refund we were told, since we had 15 people in the contract that's what we're responsible for, instead of the 12 that actually showed up... Where's the hospitality and understanding in that? Dealing with Elyse, you'll get bad information on what's available to you and ambiguous responses. If you don't want to be highly disappointed, don't bother booking this place.
