We started off on the wrong foot here. We thought check-in was 3:00 pm (our fault). We arrived at 3:30 and the lady at the front desk said the soonest they would have a room was 4:30, but probably later. Anything after 4:00 is unacceptable because their check-in time was actually 4:00. She also had a bad attitude and acted like we were bothering her by being there. Then we asked if we could at least get in the garage while we waited for our room. She gave us a garage pass, but again with attitude. The rest of the check-in experience continued with poor service.
You have to pay to park, which we knew ahead of time. The website says self-park, however, it is vallet only. We have never stayed anywhere with vallet parking, we do not use or like vallet parking. They need to update the website. The vallet parking experience was not good and took forever to park and to get our vehicle.
The gym is small (located on 2nd floor). Breakfast was decent, but not as good as other Holiday Inn Expresses we have stayed at. There is no guest laundry room.
The hotel we clean and well maintained. Our room was nice. Unfortunately, with the parking situation, and the experience with the lady at the front desk, we would never stay here again.

The staff, the rooms, the location are all great. You are required to valet a vehicle next door and the staff there was bad. They don't acknowledge anyone and you spend a lot of time waiting. As a former valet, they could use some lessons in hospitality and initiative. I never saw any of them receive a cash tip aside from the one decent employee I tipped. If they learned how to work and smile and hurry, I bet they could make a lot more money and leave customers much more satisfied.

At check in the young man though pleasant was overwhelmed. Staffing should have included 2 at the least checking patrons in. I had to pay $25 to park and paying one would expect what one would call “service “. . The concierge said bring your car down the ramp and staff will check in your vehicle. Also there would be an elevator to go up to the rooms. Upon driving down ramp there was a sign straight ahead saying DO NOT ENTER going straight and up a ramp. So we drive to the right there are NO signs stating wait for attendant, attendant at lunch or any directions what to do. I call front desk and concierge said he would call. The man comes down ramp I ask what is procedure he says “if your staying in hotel you pull car up the ramp. Up the ramp that says Do Not Enter. The guy says the signs are all wrong. You think! So I said so what do I do now as others were now behind us and no order apparent . He says just leave car with keys in it, I gave him the hotel window hanger. Well then I found out the elevators don’t go to hotel. They go to the apartment building. So I should have left luggage at lobby instead of having to pull it out and up ramp from outside garage. Adding insult to injury our room had no tv remote having to back downstairs, and OH, the attendant failed to give receipt when we left car which made it take longer to retrieve car. The room also had stains on carpet. I will never stay at that location again!!!!!
