I was here for 5 days for business. I enjoyed walking 30 minutes (one way) to the metro stations. You can get to Washington Sq park within 55 minutes by walking to the E train line. They provide shuttle to the 7 train every 30 minutes. I used it once. Nice people. Good for the price. There's not much around though. Not even a grocery store (but plenty of gas stations).

Although it has one of the best hotel views in NYC and the hotel itself is in a pretty nice area, I really didn’t like the walk to the subway. To get to the station, you have to cross a bridge that feels pretty sketchy, especially if you’re alone or coming back late at night.
The hotel does offer a shuttle service that picks you up and drops you off at the subway station, and I definitely recommend asking about it because it’s very convenient. The only downside is that it doesn’t run 24/7.
I loved the hotel, the views, and my stay overall, but personally, the area around the walk to and from the subway—especially at night—felt pretty uncomfortable

The hotel itself was clean, quiet, and generally comfortable, but unfortunately my late-checkout experience was one of the worst I have had at a hotel.
I am an IHG member and specifically requested a late checkout because I needed additional rest. Despite this, staff/housekeeping repeatedly knocked loudly on my door while I was trying to sleep. What made the situation significantly worse was that on one occasion, the door was actually opened despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being displayed.
This was extremely uncomfortable and felt like a serious disregard for my privacy as a guest. If a guest has requested or been granted late checkout, there should be proper communication between the front desk and housekeeping. A guest should not have to repeatedly wake up to knocking, and staff certainly should not attempt to enter a room displaying a Do Not Disturb sign except where there is a legitimate safety or emergency reason.
I booked a hotel room to have privacy and uninterrupted rest—not to feel pressured to leave or repeatedly disturbed. For an IHG property, and especially as a member, I expected a much more professional level of communication and respect for guest privacy.
The property itself is clean and quiet, but the handling of my late checkout and the disregard of the Do Not Disturb sign seriously affected my experience and is the reason I would not extend my stay.

Hotel: Hotel was clean we gave it 11/10, rooms are clean and smells good.
Staff: Staff answered every questions we had and they were very helpful, thank you.
The area was safe to walk.
Transportation to time square or basically anywhere in New York was mostly on a train or buses, It was easier for us to use those so we don’t have to deal with NYC traffic. But there are many options.
We noticed police presence most places on the street at metro stations, and that put our mind at ease, and they were very helpful too, thank you.
Transportation: bus and train stations Price $3 / person.
Food: breakfast was free at the hotel even tho we were not able to wake up to eat, I have not looked for restaurant in the area but there are an options to order out/in. Or bring your own food ,. Our room had microwave and mini refrigerator.
Thank you everyone.

Good experience- but things you might wanna know
1. When i called them to book a hotel, they told me parking is complimentary however when i got there they changed and said it’s $40 US a night. So i didn’t have any option plus i was tired so i didn’t make big deal out of it specially when you are with your family.
2. Bus service to hotel is pretty limited so you might have to walk 20 min to catch a subway or uber. You don’t wanna drive in NY traffic. They do have shuttle service from 7am to 11 am and 5pm to 9pm. If you are deciding to stay a night then there is no way you can catch a shuttle.
In depth- if you get out on hunters ave (subway station after jackson ) then uber cost around $7 US.
3. They have pretty good breakfast including eggs, sausage, pancakes and cereals. You save money there.
4. Rooms are pretty good.
