  Very disappointing experience at Holiday Inn I was extremely disappointed with my recent stay at this Holiday Inn. I have been a loyal IHG guest and even used my points for this stay, so I expected much better treatment. The biggest issue was the way my family was treated by the front-desk staff. My brother was visiting with his service dog, and instead of handling the situation professionally and respectfully, an employee was rude and confrontational, insisted that my brother leave, and threatened to charge me $250 if the dog entered the hotel. I was later charged $196, which I felt was completely inappropriate and especially upsetting after I had already complained. When I called that evening, the night manager told me the charge was a mistake. Given the circumstances, however, it felt retaliatory and left me very uncomfortable. The next morning, despite having a late checkout, housekeeping repeatedly banged on the door about two hours before we were supposed to leave. There was no greeting or courtesy—just, “When are you leaving?” This added to an already unpleasant experience. I have stayed at Holiday Inn properties before and value my IHG membership, but the rude and disrespectful treatment by the staff at this location was unacceptable. I expected basic courtesy and professionalism, and unfortunately, I did not receive either. I would not recommend this location based on my experience with the staff and the way this situation was handled.

  All the staff from the front desk to the housekeepers are truly professional. I highly recommend this property Holiday Inn at Johnstown New York. It’s clean comfortable with no worries. I will stay here again if I’m in the area

  I wanted to rent a room for my granddaughter and her family for the weekend, but was told in no uncertain terms I was not allowed in pool area. If wanted to visit I had to buy a second room at a cost of $600 and they were very rude about it. THANK GOD I found out before booking, there's a nicer hotel just down the street at half the price, no pool and no drama.

  It was a great stay monday everything was clean. I had a server Zach and he was a great server. I will definitely be coming back

  My son and husband had a very bad stomach bug forcing us to cancel. I guess I didnt see it all the way through on the app and they charged a no show fee. Which I understand to a certain extent but my son was literally throwing up everywhere 2 days before our visit to see his mother and we didnt want to get anyone sick. I had a lot going on and thought I canceled but must not have confirmed on the app. You can see we rebooked and stayed in the area 5 days after that to visit my mil. You can keep my 230 dollars but I can tell you that I will not be staying at this hotel brand from here on out.
