  Issues in short: Soundproofing is terrible. Expected road noise but not to hear the pacing of the customer upstairs the entire night. I had white noise running loud in my earbuds and still hear the steps, back and forth, all. Night. Cigarette smoke. Another customer must have been smoking and it came into our room through the bathroom. Not their issue but another customer (she seemed disoriented as she was talking with the cleaning staff across the hall) somehow pushed open our room, which must have been ajar after I let it close after putting the do not disturb sign on the door. Their messaging bot says "Hi, JENNIFER! We're excited to welcome you to Holiday Inn Express Fishkill-Mid Hudson Valley. If you need anything during your stay, please feel free to reply to this message. Reply STOP to opt out. Msg and data rates may apply." Me at 4:12 am "Hello. Is there another room available for our second night? The people above us have been up all night and you can hear everything, footsteps/conversations...the entire night Also somehow our room smells like cigarette smoke even though I think this is a non smoking property? Thank you" Response at noon, after we decided to check out: "Just checking in - how is your stay going so far? Feel free to reply back 1 - 5 (5 being excellent)." So, we asked for a refund for just the second night after we decided to leave (the disoriented woman opening the door was the last factor to make that decision). Mgmt did not seem to care about the issues or offer suggestions to fix the situation. She said she would talk to her manager and call me, even read my number to me. That did not happen. Booking.com attempted to get the refund and Hilton refused. Regardless, I would not recommend staying here if you're hoping for sleep.

  Well, unfortunately my stay wasn't pleasant at this holiday inn express in fishkill ...elevator malfunctioned...had to take stairs to 4th floor multiple times...fire alarm went off at 5 am sunday morning interrupting my sleep and having to stay out in cold for good 45 mins. So, yeah I am disappointed with the stay. The staff were friendly though, but they couldn't do much in both situations...

  Phone does not work door doesn't lock gave us a room that had someone else's personal items inside our new room was across from laundry room noisy all night was told door would be fixed next morning no one came complaints went un answered horrible experience and paid about 8 hundred dollars for 2 rooms 2 nights I would have expected someone to address our concerns and problems never again will I spend money here

  The front desk staff so friendly and professional! The room are super clean and modern look, comfortable as well. Free breakfast, 24 hours gym, and pool. Love it. It’s close to supermarket and nice restaurants!

  I treated my husband to tickets to a Knicks game in the city. We checked in to drop off our bags and planned to catch a train down. Upon arrival at 3:20, our room was not ready due to a busier weekend we were told by a gentleman who was not the manager but was heading upstairs to physically check on another guest’s room. We waited for him to return and thankfully another rep was able to aid him and checked us in by 3:38 pm. We missed the 3:43 train to Grand central as a result and took the next one. Ultimately, it was a bizzare experience, and since I didn’t get any sleep I’d like a full refund. Here are my notes, beware: - Our room door (220) was slightly cracked open, previously broken it appeared and poorly repaired. We heard all hallway activities all night long including the community dryer which was oddly loud making a banging sound. The next morning we realize a man intentionally propped the door open because he would not be able to gain access without fetching a staff member. - A wake up call was actual knocking on the door directly across the hall by the staff at 8 am. The knocking and calling out of the guest’s name continued until the man answered. Great, now I’m up too. - No toothpaste. - No working phone to call for toothpaste. - Finally after breakfast, someone rang our doorbell at 10 am I was napping -we’re guessing it was a kid that ran because no one was there when I looked out the peephole. Needless to say, I had enough and decided to check out early. I told the receptionist about all of this and politely asked to speak with a supervisor. She said one was not on staff until later. I find that odd, why wouldn’t there be a manager available working around normal business hours?
