  I take a few trips a year to Syracuse and have stayed here every time, mostly because they are very pet-friendly and have a nice little pet park outside for guests to use to walk their dogs. The rooms are comfortable and generally quiet, barring being just minutes from the airport or screaming kids running down hallways :-). I have found the staff very helpful and accommodating and friendly to my dog. This visit, I inadvertently booked twice (once with IHG and once with Booking), and the desk staff fixed the problem and the double charge within a hour and later made sure I got my IHG points for the stay. I value the little things, like everyone smiling when you say hi and having dog cookies for the furbaby guests. This place is my go to!

  I do not recommend this hotel for government travelers. I didn't actually make it to this hotel for my one night stay due to flight cancellations and I've been struggling to get a detailed receipt and return of NYS taxes ever since. I was charged for the one night stay because I cancelled outside of the reservation window, which is fine. However, due to a firewall issue with IHG, I cannot get a detailed copy of my receipt emailed to me and the cancellation does not show up in my IHG profile. I've called, emailed the hotel requesting a fax or mailed copy with no luck. I contacted IHG directly and was told it was elevated. Now a week later, I still have no response and no detailed receipt in my profile or email. I was also told the NYS taxes would be refunded since I'm a government traveler and although was a no-show due to flight cancellations, didn't have to pay those taxes. Those taxes still have not been refunded. I notified the hotel and IHG I'm happy to provide whatever form necessary to confirm my government status (the hotel was booked using the government travel system) but have no refund. Super disappointed with the amount of time, effort I've wasted to try and get a detailed receipt and my taxes refunded.

  3 stars on service due to the early morning staff. The afternoon staff was exceptional, but the gentleman that covers the overnight needs retraining.
