- QMQueency MonroeOct 27, 20245.0First time at this hotel, and I was a bit apprehensive before we arrived bec of the mix reviews I’ve read but was really relieved once we got there. Location feels safe. Plenty of parking. Decor is uplifting and hallway is lit up nicely. The room we got was on the top floor with a balcony facing the lake. Room was clean and love that the floor was not carpet! They need to update the photos on Google bec our room looks wayyy better; the photos they have on The Lake House on Canandaigua website are the current and accurate ones. I booked this last minute so there was no King bed left and my husband and I ended up with 2 Queen beds in the room which was no biggie. Thank goodness their beds and pillows are super comfy! And trust me, we’re very picky. Their bed is so comfortable that it’s up there with Four Seasons in Seattle/Jackson Hole and The Retreat Hotel in Blue Lagoon Iceland. And yay to legit soft towels!!! We travel a lot and normally go for luxury hotels whenever available but have found that soft towels are very hard to find even in 5 stars hotels so great job on the towels! The robe and slippers provided were also soft so no complaints there. Love the scent of their hand soap that I actually took a pic of it so I could find the fragrance brand online and purchase more. Appreciate the attention to details like having a full length mirror on one of the cabinet doors and magnifying make up mirror in the bathroom. We slept with our windows open and no issue with noise outside. We stayed for 3 nights but wished I had taken a lot more photos of this hotel so this review would be more helpful, but we were so busy that it completely slipped my mind. Nice merch downstairs. I even got myself this really cute hand warmer sloth lol.
