  It's not often I feel compelled to leave reviews. A friend of mine is a platinum rewards member and was kind enough to let us use their points for a free night. I can overlook a lot so long as a room is clean. This was too much. The front desk staff insisted on calling my friend to confirm I was authorized to check in despite my name also being on the reservation. We stayed at another IHG hotel three days prior and this was not an issue. We were asked if we wanted a single king room or a double queen. There were three of us standing there and we booked a double queen for three people... not off to a good start. We get into the room and do our standard check for bed bugs. No bugs, great. Except the rest of the room had clearly not been cleaned. There was a large cobweb in the corner, surfaces were dusty. It was unusually humid and smelled stale. We discover that we had been placed in an ADA room. Again, not what we booked. I have a distinct feeling that because this was a rewards night that the staff didnt care where they placed us. The shower had not been cleaned between guests. A prior guest used purple shampoo and it was splattered everywhere. It was not stained as I could wipe it clean with my finger. There is also no exhaust fan in the bathroom - a clear cause of the prior mentioned humidity. It became so humid after taking a shower that the mirror above the desk on the opposite side of the room became foggy. We decided to get dinner at the on site restaurant and there was also an event happening. It was clear the restaurant staff was also being used to staff the event as service was extremely slow. It took nearly 20 minutes to get drinks from the bar we were sitting right next to. The bed I am currently laying in is so worn out that my feet are elevated above my head. My husband is laying with his head at the foot of the bed to try and sleep. I am about to try the same. It is after midnight and a huge group of teenagers are being loud in the hallway. A dog is barking. Doors are slamming. As an aspiring 46er I plan to be in this part of the state A LOT in the near future. This hotel came highly recommended and has left everything to be desired. I will not be staying here again, rewards points or otherwise. After being in the mountains for three days all we wanted was a comfortable nights rest before a long drive home. This experience was extremely disappointing.

  My family and I stayed here for one night. We got in late and had to immediately change rooms because of a nonstop barking dog. The new room we got moved to was better until we fell asleep and realize the AC unit was extremely loud. They way it clicked on and off was so loud it was impossible to sleep and it wasn't even cooling the room. The next morning I went to tell the front desk so they were aware of the situation so they could fix it for the next guest, before he even heard what I had to say he was so annoyed with me because I inconvenienced him by waiting in line to talk to him. I told him what happened and instead of apologizing or offering a discount off our stay, he said "so are you checking out or what?" I said yes, but more importantly I thought you would want to know the problem we experienced in that room so you could fix it for the next guest!" He was rude and I don't understand why people work in customer service if they don't like people.

  If you have a early flight make sure you don’t get a room with the balcony view. I could hear kids screaming all night. It is very close to the airport. The hotel seems really old and has an old smell. The floor level lights don’t work on the elevator and it was very slow.

  The New Year's Eve event 2025-2026 on December 31, 2025, in Desmond was a complete and phenomenal success. The night was absolutely magical — every detail was perfect, and the energy was unforgettable. Desmond created such a warm, joyful atmosphere. It truly felt like the best way to welcome the New Year. The décor, the food, the music — everything came together beautifully. A truly top notch celebration. The hospitality made everyone feel at home. It was a night full of joy, laughter, and great memories. The New Year's Eve event 2025-2026 in Desmond was one of the most well organized and vibrant New Year’s Eve parties I’ve ever attended. The attention to detail was incredible — from the ambiance to the entertainment, everything was flawless. It was a perfect blend of fun, elegance, and celebration. The whole experience was amazing. Thank you for creating such a memorable night for all of us. The vibe was fantastic — warm hosts, great music, beautiful décor. Truly a celebration to remember. What a beautiful way to start the New Year! Every moment felt special. It was a joy to be part of such a beautifully organized event. Wishing Desmond continued success in all your future celebrations.

  I booked and confirmed online for my birthday. I get to the hotel and arriving to the sopping wet carpet should have been when I said no way and left. The front desk did not have my room ready even though I confirmed everything was okay. The food and beverage credit of $30 at additional $20 in the restaurant , I late found out they don’t honor. I said okay and let them know I really need to get to my room as we have a dinner reservation and drove 130 miles to the hotel. We find the elevator and get to our room. It is the very last room with the light out above and the emergency exit door (which was propped open.) The only lights were the ones next to the bed. The toilet paper had no new roll and less than 1/4 of the current roll. That was enough at that point to decide we should have went to the Marriot near the airport. I was able to book and confirm another hotel less than 15 min away.
