  I’m very disappointed in the hotel staffs Haley! handling of me starting my period which is emotional as it is because my fiancé and I are trying to get pregnant, but I felt such a shame from it because she tried to charge my card multiple times. I was like these sheets are washable. It wasn’t a ton of blood. The mattress wasn’t even affected. I stripped the linens myself and not only that they tried to charge my card multiple times and she was so rude about the amount first it was they tried to charge 7950 then they charge 50 and then she’s like well. We could only get this amount again just like talking down to me and I just felt the it’s shameful enough starting your period in anyone knowing that and then having them charge me, I would’ve thought of a courtesy call or my hundred dollar deposit that was already given would’ve sufficed or just some common courtesy of calling. I’m very disappointed in the best Western having her as a manager she hung up on me because I called her to tell her to stop charging my card and this is a place. I was thinking about having my wedding reception so now I’m like even more disappointed and I cried because I felt again embarrassed about starting my period

  My overall experience with Boomtown has always been great from checking in to checking out the food service, drinks and gaming is great but my favorite place there is the steakhouse. Five stars

  I stayed here for 4 nights, and not for Hot August Nights. I had Family members moving to Verdi from out of state and wanted to be there for them. The room was a good size and the beds comfortable offering plenty of pillow options. To save on cost ( H.A.N raises nightly cost) I opted for pool view, which worked great for me because it is a indoor pool and it help keep the sun out and the coolness in. If you stay here, be prepared to drive at least 7 miles for additional amenities. There is a Mel's diner open 24 hours, which is a cute establishment but the food was not very good. There is a steak house option in Boomtown, that is open Wed-Sun and the service was great (Albert) but my prime rib was basic. I had Peets coffee which was Peets coffee and there was a Baja Deli that I didn't get to try. I will be staying here again, because its close to family.

  AC worked fine but needs update. Nightlight needed in bathroom. Cheap coffee maker didn’t work both times. Housekeeping bypassed our room and when I called she said “ Sorry we are having a heavy day and it’s not guaranteed a freshen up But we can give you fresh towels and remove your garbage” Ice maker on 5th floor not working 3 days. Had to go to 2 other floors for Ice. Bloody Marys had a bad taste (maybe Clamato ? ) Overall customer service was great and enjoyed the newer slot machines. Loved Mel’s dinner and best coffee ever.

  Had a king bed which wasn't all that comfortable. Unfortunately our room was across from the swimming pool so couldn't open any windows. The bathroom was very small & toilet sat extremely low to the ground. The casino needs better smoke filtration as it was extremely smokey & on the 3rd floor I could smell the tobacco smoke. Couldn't find any area in the casino that was non-smoking so that really sucked! Not a lot of places inside to eat either.
