Can't coment on the price because mum paid for it all but as far as the hotel goes.. pretty ok I would say. The location is great! And the rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The facilities though were a bit tired but still very much usable. The gas BBQs need to go though because it was so windy up on top of the hill that they just blew out every time we tried to use them lol. I would recommend to the hotel that they install some good old fashioned coal BBQs. The wind can't put them out, it'll just make them hotter/better.

Rooms are nice but a little dated and zero air conditioning which they say they advertise but we didn’t see that on any of their ads. Loved the location. The staff was ok. We did have issues with the lights that would come on by them selves in the middle of the night. My kids ultimately thought the place was haunted. They tried to make it good by relocating us to room that was a down grade from what we had and sweltering hot. Then upon going to a third room that had ceiling fans we had the same issue with lights turning on by themselves in the middle of the night. DO NOT go there for rest. You won’t get it. Also had “ help” from a security guard to move rooms but he literally stood and watched as I had to move everything, push the cart and tote my kids. Useless.

RACIST STAFF/MANAGEMENT. Would not stay here again.
In late May my girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for two nights, we were celebrating our anniversary. I am white and she is Asian-American. We checked in at the front desk and were told to go to another help desk around the corner to get our room keys. When we approached, an older white gentleman moved his chair over to the next desk to help us. He immediately greeted my girlfriend with a racist remark, putting on an Asian accent. I think I said "...are you serious?" and my girlfriend said "Excuse me? Say that again." In the moment, we were both shocked and didn't know how to react. The man backtracked and said that he was "joking" and that "we (he and his coworkers) were just joking around over there". I believe his name was Neil.
This kind of treatment towards paying customers is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. Mind you this happened within five minutes of arriving at the establishment. It was the FIRST thing this man said to us.
My gf asked for the phone number of the manager, and Neil provided the front desk number, which according to him would reach a manager. My gf called the next morning and was put on hold, then told that someone would "call her back" so she could give her complaint. No one ever called her back. She also sent an email, which no one responded to.
This experience ruined the first night of our vacation during what was meant to be a celebratory trip. I am upset with not only the disgusting racist man, but with the management who made it impossible for us to report him.
If you are a person of color I would not recommend staying here. They will not be getting my business again.

Room was decent - nothing super special, but good enough value for Tahoe, especially to be right on the top of the mountain. My wife and I did enjoy the roof-top hot tub, but that was only once we had the chance to use it before some other group got in - because there's only one for the whole building.
There are 2 main reasons for my negative review -
1. They have a weird setup, where the check-in desk and reception area are in a totally different building from the main rooms. We got to the location, brought in all our bags to check-in, only to find out we had to drive to the other side of the ridge to get to where we would actually be staying.
2. They have some sleazy upsell offering that they try to get you to do, to join their club program. Check-in took us over 30 minutes, because they went through this whole used-car sales pitch about their offering. Total waste of time and very annoying. But even worse - ever since staying there a few months ago, I'm getting 3 or 4 calls every week from a shielded local number, trying to get me to sign up for their crappy program. Not cool, guys, not cool.

I was very disappointed with my stay. The biggest issue was that the ceiling fan and light in our room appeared to be synced with multiple rooms, so no one could reliably control their own fan or light. It was frustrating to have the fan and light turning on and off because of someone else’s remote at all hours of the night. 3 days now the issue has not been fixed and our ceiling fan hasn’t worked in 2 days because the previous “tech” broke the remote sensor codes and work orders were not fulfilled. The only alternative is a loud box fan they provide that is about as peaceful as sleeping under an idling helicopter.
On top of that, guest services was extremely difficult to reach. We made several attempts to get assistance, but it took far longer than it should have. Having the power go out one morning and having lots of wildfire smoke blow into the area only made the situation worse as our room was an oven since we didn’t want to add smoke to our problems. Even more concerning, the front desk didn’t always answer the phone during normal business hours, making it nearly impossible to get help due to limited staffing.
These are basic expectations for any hotel. Between the room issues and the lack of responsiveness from staff, the stay fell well below what I expected. We felt like inconveniences that nobody wanted to deal with rather than paying guests. I hope management addresses both the maintenance problem and the staffing/customer service issues so future guests have a better experience; however, I would not recommend this place as it currently stands.
