My wife and I came because my wife’s favorite band no doubt was playing in Vegas and I wanted to show her a good time. And this is my review of the Strat Hotel and Casino. The hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Not only were we placed in an old room, the amenities are severely lacking. We are still here and I am sad to say, my vacation has gotten off to a bad start. We got in last night around 11 and we needed to check into the hotel. When we got here there was only one person to check people in. Now I figured this was because it was late at night and they didn’t need the staffing at this time, but when we got in, there were six other people behind us that needed to be checked in as well. I figured this was just poor planning on their part and thought well. This isn’t off to a good start and this is strike one of my three strike system. The next day… All across the hotel you see signs for “free drinks if you’re gambling”, but in the one hour that I was sitting at the machine, not once did a waitress come up to ask me if I’d like a drink. I don’t even know if they had more than one, and the one that was there was too busy jaw jacking with the dealers that didn’t have any players at there tables. Now I know what you’re gonna say probably because it was so busy, but I am not kidding you this was not busy at all. There were so many machines without people playing on them, And hardly any of the table games were open. This place was like a ghost town. So not wanting to spend too much money on gambling I decided that I would try to go and check out their Topgolf type golfing facility that’s advertised as part of the hotel. So I get over there and they don’t open until noon so I go back into the casino and I decided that I want to get a drink because they say that they have a new Smoothie bar. So I go to look for it. I find it and they don’t open until 11. How is it that a place like this that people come to a vacation, a major tourist site, and the facilities that are commonly used by tourists, are not open and staffing is extremely short? This has been my experience on the very first day of my actual vacation. Now I’m back up in my room. I don’t wanna go out on the town yet and there is nothing to do in this hotel so I am going to take a nap and later sign up for the blackjack tournament. The night of the first day… We get back to our room after taking in the view of the observation deck , and discover that the ac in our room doesn’t work to cool off the room. My wife calls the front desk and couldn’t even talk to a real person. This god damn hotel has now left customer service up to AI. Day 2: We went to the concert and I decided to do a little gambling before bed. Once again for the third time of sitting at a machine for an hour , not 1 waitress came up and asked if I would like a drink. We have one more day left but my wife and I have both decided that we will never stay here again! UPDATE: Day 3: This has been such a horrible experience, we actually went searching for a timeshare company just to get some amenities, Being our last night here we wanted to eat at the Top Of The World Restaurant and use the 100.00 worth of coupons those same people had offered for the same timeshare presentation. We tried booking online but it said none were available. I tried calling the concierge and no-one answered. I went downstairs and was told by the concierge to go to the check in counters and they were the ones to make the reservations. They did make a reservation for 8:45 but charged me 25.00/person (just for the reservation) for my wife and I. I am expecting that the coupons won’t even work and we will probably be charged full price for dinner. This has been the most aggravating, disappointing, biggest money grab Vacation i have ever experienced and I can endure a lot because of spending 10 years in the Military. I imagine if I were to die tomorrow, this would be my hell. If you wanna have a good time, I highly suggest you choose somewhere else to stay. I don’t even understand how this place is still in business.

We stayed here recently in April 2026. By far, this was the WORST EXPERIENCE I've ever had at a hotel from the front desk to their managers!! I don't even know where to begin. I made a 2 day B-day reservation by phone and was quoted the full price including taxes. I paid a deposit by phone with a reservation manager then received a confirmation email as well. I soon realized I had provided the right credit card for a deposit, but wanted to use a different card to pay the balance at the end of our stay. This hotel charged the balance due BEFORE WE EVEN ARRIVED! I spoke to a manager to alert them I was now overdrawn with this unexpected withdrawal and after 3 diff. managers, they finally agreed to reverse the charge to my bank account before we arrived. When we arrived, they wanted to charge us another DEPOSIT which I refused as it was paid over the phone with the reservation. They argued with me stating they could see a deposit was needed. I had to hold my ground and demand they send a manager out which they finally did reluctantly!! She was RUDE, SHORT with me right off the bat, but finally came around after pulling up the reservation and agreed there was no further deposit. (I couldn't understand why she could find it on my account but no one else) THEY Didn't even apologize. She also mentioned it would take a few days for my B of A to return the funds they credited back which was understandable. When we checked out I provided a different form of payment (credit card) closing my balance for 2 nights. I was sent a receipt of payment. To this date, i never received the credit back to my checking account. My bank stated they NEVER RECEIVED A reverse CREDIT from this hotel and to contact them re. the charges. Tonight When I tried calling re. this, a supervisor/front desk staff hung up on me Multiple times just rude, full of attitude and giving horrible customer service/just ignorant!! I am now disputing their charge to my credit card as they received double payment and have made it difficult to resolve this matter. ( I hope i don't have to take them to small claims court). This is a HORRIBLE HOTEL, STAFF AND OVERALL MGMT....While we were in the elevator another couple was complaining too about being overcharged and staff arguing with them and they decided to check out!! I Have traveled the world and have never come across such incompetence, rudeness from nearly ALL STAFF and management. BEWARE!!! STAY FAR AWAY from this place that's worse than a Motel 6.

The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower anchors the north end of the Las Vegas Strip at 2000 S Las Vegas Blvd, offering 2,427 renovated rooms, an 80,000-sq‑ft casino, the revolving Top of the World restaurant, and adrenaline‑pumping tower rides like Big Shot, X‑Scream, SkyJump, and Rouge. The property is easily accessible via the Deuce bus line, ride‑share, or on‑site parking. Amenities include a fitness center near the hotel rooms, the WET24 rooftop pool and bar on the 24th floor with panoramic views, and convenient dining options such as McDonald’s on the second level and Starbucks on the ground floor. Top of the World remains the signature dining experience, offering 360 degree views from over 800 feet above the city. In front of the STRAT’s main gate sits one of the city’s most photographed spots, the iconic “The city of Las Vegas” sign, while the newer 80‑foot Showgirl Gateway Arches stand at 1810 Las Vegas Blvd South, marking the entrance to Downtown Las Vegas. These vibrant showgirl statues and arches complement the STRAT’s position as a visual landmark on the Strip. Together, the tower attractions, rooftop pool, dining, and surrounding photo‑worthy icons make the STRAT a distinctive stop for both thrill‑seekers and casual visitors exploring the north Strip and downtown corridor.

Update: Bpttom line, while it takes getting to someone high enough, inevitably they fufilled my requsts and got us to a room that was more in line with what we purchased. Honestly I would 100% go back IF the owners show they have some balls/empathy/soul and take some responsibility for the scams going on in their establishment. They seemed to not be phased by my complaint so we'll just keep going until they do!! Everyone I talked to at the hotel acknowledged the problem, thought it was wrong, and some hinted that more people need to be doing what I am/will be doing. I despise scammers with every ounce of my soul and honestly think they should be out in the vegas streets. The time share people are enough to show you the business owners DO NOT care about you and just see you as gullible pawns for their time share scam! EVERYONE needs to go waste these fools time so much they stop targeting and scamming couples. LOL This place is just amazing and after the last experience before leaving I couldn't leave it highly rated. So you'd think after some of the hell I went through they would be more accommodating to small requests like simply needing an hour for check out since flights /rental got moved etc. NOPE, the front desk lady was flat out MEAN. I was nothing but a huge bother for her. Told me she couldn't extend. I said ok well, if we just don't check out and keep the room what is the charge? She said its just 250 for another night. I said that's fine I'll take it, well she made a big stink, put me on hold after hold only to then tell me it was now 750!!!!!!!! I of course thought that was messed up so I asked for her superior which almost immediately offered our extended stay complimentary. Then we go down to get our temp keys, walk all the way back up, they dont' work lol. Also worth noting, even in their mini suite, the shower, while looked beautiful slow drained to the point of it filling up the shower like a mini tub :/ Also, I was in plenty of LV garages that actually got regularly cleaned. Update: apparently this oil thing is common across a lot of Vegas garages. I suppose being from Ohio the idea of people destroying things enmass is more uncommon. :). The Manager of the hotel reached out and like the first lady I spoke with was super kind and understanding. As I expressed the majority of the issues were just annoyances I would have kept to myself. The scam attempt just got me as being IT, I see a lot of targeted scamming of the elderly etc so stuff like this hits close to home. Anyways, we got the issue addressed and I have a completely different perspective of not only the establishment, but the people that run it. Thanks!!!!!! First time in Vegas ..and not impressed. Parking lot has so much oil. My shoes have a black coating.. It's been a problem for so long people have slapped shoes against it to make a mark... Every wall is covered with them.. we found nail clippings in the room all over the place. After picking up a few, we just took pictures and contacted staff. Worst of all we were just exiting to leave. We were told we mistakenly were not given vouchers. There was a sales pitch about getting us into a tour for a partner hotel that just got renovated... All we had to do was do the tour and they give you a show, hotel stay, gift card and brunch. We got there and quickly realized it was a timeshare pitch with Cheez-It snacks. It was a mini battle to get my deposit back which ate into my time and caused anxiety during vacation. Management sounded like they were willing to upgrade us to suite but they said none were available. :/

It had been a long time since I had stayed here & I can honestly say I would have preferred to be at Circus Circus, which is awful but you know that going in. Ended up paying over $100 a night after resort fees, not including the $21 a day for parking I didn’t expect to pay for a hotel at the end of the strip. The bed was awful. Zero support. You just sank into the middle of the bed and I’m 6’2” 220lbs, it almost felt like the beds were so old and worn out but upon further inspection, they were just thin, cheap mattresses. I didn’t like that there wasn’t additional security with the room door, it is only the lock from the electronic lock, there isn’t a manual additional lock, so be aware. The AC unit was the kind you would find at a less luxurious hotel, while it appeared new, it’s never my favorite type of unit as it keeps one side of the room freezing cold or super hot depending on how you’re using it. The room just felt cheap in its current revamp. The first time I stayed at the Strat was 14 years ago right after a renovation and it was incredible. This felt like the rooms were fixed up by someone who flips homes for a living. The staff seemed nice, I didn’t interact with them much other than the check in process. The garage is nasty. I needs pressure washed on every floor. There are foot prints on every single piece of concrete in the ceiling, it’s extremely odd. There was a lot of trash just around the garage, just little bits of things that I saw for days on end, it was clear that no one was going to be going through the garage and do more than just empty trash cans. If the bed was nicer, parking was free, I would keep it on my list but I think it’s time to look for other alternatives. My friend was staying at the Best Western by the airport and I stopped by and picked him up for dinner and his room looked about as nice as what I had and the amenities were the same in the hotel, plus free parking. No resort fee, cheaper priced room. It felt virtually the same, so what am I wasting my money for? All of these added fees, adding a parking fee, etc, this is how Las Vegas dies if it isn’t careful. Tourism is already down year after year, it’s pretty obvious why.
