THEY STOLE MY AIRPODS. We left some airpods in the hotel room and now they have ignored all correspondence despite the tracker showing that they were there!! They are thieves!! DO NOT STAY HERE

The absolute worst experience I have ever had coming to Las Vegas since I was 13 years old. The hotel staff accused me of running out on a tab while I was outside waiting for family members to show up 15 mins after checkout, the pools are all closed or open at weird times during half the week and other times the other half. Either way they both close at 6 (which is ridiculous if you have kids. The rooms still had other peoples trash in them and they double charged us for our booking. When we notified the hotel about this, they said they weren’t affiliated with the booking website we used. The parking garage has a QR code to scan to validate parking in garage as well that doesn’t work and when we called and asked about that, they said they weren’t affiliated with the parking garage even though it literally says “The Strat” all over the garage. The staff is terrible and extremely rude. There were two Security women that were above reproach and one valet attendant. Other than that, I would honestly rather stay in a motel 6 off the strip. Horrible! Do not waste your money.

The STRAT was affordable and had great food options and a comedy club. The hotel is currently renovating the rooms. It’s near the Fremont Experience, but also not too far from the main strip. The area is older and not as cared for as the main strip or inside the Fremont experience. There were several unhoused individuals but the area did not feel unsafe.
I would say be prepared with your good walking shoes and a pouch or bag to carry water etc. because it is hot.
Definitely check out the observation tower. The view of Vegas is really worth the money and there is a discount if you stay in the hotel. I’m a little scared of heights but everything felt safe and secure. They even have an elevator attendant that tells you what to expect. I would stay at the Strat again. Also, the Aztec Inn next door made me a vegan option of noodles and it was delicious.
Our stay at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod was a bit of a mixed experience.
The location was not ideal for us. Once you get just a short distance away from the hotel in certain directions, the surrounding area feels unsafe and not very comfortable to walk around in, especially at night.
Check-in took quite a long time. There is a kiosk option available, but it wasn’t very user-friendly or intuitive, which made the process more frustrating than convenient. We were able to check-out from the TV in our room but the couples who traveled with us kept getting an error message and were forced to stand in line to check-out which delayed us leaving for the airport for a 5am flight.
On a positive note, the pool area was clean and the water temperature was very comfortable. The views from the pool were also beautiful, especially the mountains and palm trees, which really stood out and were a highlight of the stay.
However, the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt just average. There was no music or strong resort vibe in the pool or common areas, so it didn’t feel very lively.
The room itself was disappointing in terms of cleanliness, upkeep and size - the room was tiny. It had a bad odor we were unable to identify but seemed very dated and maybe that smell was just old... We also found there was no microwave in the room, and ice was surprisingly difficult to locate when needed.
In terms of transportation, the hotel is quite far from the monorail—about a 30-minute walk—and it is also the last stop, which makes getting around the Strip less convenient.
Overall, while there were a few nice highlights like the views at the pool, and the price was low compared to other hotels in this area, the stay was just okay and we would likely choose a different location next time.

They do not care about you or how your stay is. Absolutely awful experience for their "beloved locals." They booked one room for us but didnt bother to mention it is in their old rooms. Before we get to the front desk we encounter what we thought was the front desk only to realize it's some time share BS. Finally get to the front desk and they tell us we have a room in the old rooms and pushed us to upgrade for a nicer room at a $50 charge. So we did. Now we're in the room and what's the view? The hvac system - couldn't see over the wall and a giant light shining into our room. And to top it off, we're right in front of the elevators so people coming and going constantly. The customer service has been absolutely awful with the exception of the operator (Yes, the in-house phone operator). We called multiple times to the front desk and kept getting hung up on. When we checked out we tried to speak about the room issues and they said, "why didnt you come back and ask us to reverse the charge?" We did. We tried multiple times and the supervisor was absolutely the ruddest.
We will not return and don't recommend you try it out either.
I would LOVE to add photos do you can see what an upgrade is, but cant seem to find an option for that.
I will say, The Top of The World was the only saving grace for the Strat. It was a different experience from the hotel altogether. Our server & steaks were perfect. Come for the restaurant and nothing more.
