Take the circular escalator from Overlook Lounge at Wynn and see the dazzling shows that happen on and in front of the 40-foot waterfall and pine-topped mountain while enjoying a cocktail at Parasol Down.
Tucked quietly behind a lush, pine-covered mountain inside the Wynn resort, the Lake of Dreams delivers one of the most captivating open-air multimedia spectacles on the Las Vegas Strip. Centered around a tranquil three-acre lake bordered by a cascading 90-foot waterfall, the venue immediately isolates guests from the chaotic bustle and traffic noise outside. As night falls, the forested backdrop comes alive with more than 5,000 advanced LED lights, vivid laser projection mapping, and sophisticated underwater robotics. Each short production features custom musical arrangements paired with hypnotic choreography, turning the mist and plunging water into dynamic, shimmering canvases. The resulting atmosphere feels less like a conventional casino attraction and more like an intimate, surreal outdoor art installation.
What makes the show truly distinctive is its seamless blend of whimsical storytelling and top-tier theatrical engineering. Audiences are treated to rotating performances that introduce quirky, larger-than-life animatronic figures, including an eccentric 45-foot singing face and a dapper animatronic frog crooning jazz standards. The soundtrack transitions effortlessly from sweeping cinematic orchestration to upbeat contemporary tracks, keeping each cyclical vignette fresh and engaging. Colorful light sequences dance across the surface of the water, synchronizing precisely with massive mechanical flora and ethereal holographic imagery emerging from the depths. The contrast between deep desert darkness, crisp night air, and brilliant illumination creates an enchanting, dreamlike immersion that holds everyone's attention.
Viewing the attraction is completely free to the public, though enjoying it in comfort simply requires a bit of thoughtful timing. The most effortless vantage point is ordering a craft cocktail on the open patio at Bar Parasol or reserving an outdoor waterside table at SW Steakhouse or Lakeside. Because the shows run roughly every thirty minutes starting at dusk, visitors can easily watch multiple entirely different performances over the course of a single drink or dinner reservation. The sound quality is immaculate, the staging is impeccably maintained, and the entire experience offers a level of understated luxury rarely found in public Strip entertainment. For its brilliant technical artistry, secluded ambiance, and memorable charm, the Lake of Dreams easily earns a flawless score.

Two drink minimum at the bar outside directly on the Lake - show was short and a little odd. I would not go just for the show. The atmosphere wasn’t bad to sit and enjoy the outside.

Simply put, I expected more. When it ended, my husband turned to me and said, “That’s it???” We stood out on the “free” balcony and the trees are so tall they partially block the view. We don’t think it was worth the walk to the Wynn just for the “show”.
