  If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. Our entire weekend stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Deming Mimbres Valley was canceled while we were already en route—after driving 14.5 hours from Louisiana. Not only that, we received zero notification. No email, no phone call—nothing. When we finally spoke to the front desk, we were blatantly lied to. We were told they “didn’t have our phone number” to contact us and that they “don’t send notification emails.” That’s simply unacceptable in 2026 and, frankly, insulting. If you’re taking reservations, you absolutely have contact information. Own the mistake—don’t lie to your guests. To make matters worse, the staff’s attitude was unbelievably unprofessional. The woman working the front desk on May 2nd around 3 PM was, without question, one of the rudest “professionals” I have ever encountered. Instead of offering help or even basic empathy, we were met with dismissiveness, attitude, and zero accountability. We only booked this location because everything closer to El Paso was sold out due to the BTS concert, meaning we already had to stay an hour and a half away. For that to fall apart mid-trip—with no warning and no support—is beyond unacceptable. This wasn’t just inconvenient—it disrupted an entire weekend that had been carefully planned. When a company like IHG Hotels & Resorts can’t honor reservations, communicate basic updates, or treat customers with respect, it says everything about their standards. Needless to say, I will never book with IHG again. I’ll be sticking with Hilton, where customer service and reliability actually mean something. Avoid this location at all costs.

  My family and I drove all the way from LA to come here for an event. We had our reservations for quite some time. We drove over 14 hours to find out they gave our room to someone else. My family and I travel at least 2-3 times a month and have never had this happen at other hotels. Just here at Holiday Inn. I even called corporate and they would not do anything as well. Save your time and money and find another hotel for your stay. This one is not worth your time!

  This location is amazing, but more importantly I want to thank Adrianna for her exceptional service! She's very kind and immediately knew how to help me when I made an error during booking my reservation. She deserves a raise!

  I don’t require much…a clean room, comfortable bed, and a safe location. That being said, this was hands down the most uncomfortable bed I have slept on when traveling. If you want a good night’s, skip this hotel.
