Although this location seemed rather new and well-taken care of, our room overlooked the busy 12th street and let me tell you...it didn't seem like these rooms or windows were sound insulated at all. I could hear EVERY car passing, motorcycles, etc! Plus, it's right across from a busy convenience store that may stay open 24hrs. Had I known how noisy the rooms were on the hotel's street side, I would have asked to be moved. The location of the hotel was good because it was near Old Town and we appreciated it's convenience. There are homeless people that we saw enter the hotel to get the free coffee so be aware...they are around the area and near the highway nearby. Rooms were clean and breakfast was great. We stayed for 3 nights.

Great midway stop on a long.drive from SoCal to DFW. Area is a little sketchy at night with the homeless population. But the hotel always feels.safe and secure. I have visited at least 5 times. Rooms are clean and spacious. Front desk always kind, friendly and professional.

We were very disappointed with our experience at this Holiday Inn. We were told that because we're from Albuquerque, we couldn't stay at the hotel, which was frustrating and unexpected. If that's the hotel's policy, it should be made clear before guests arrive.
On top of that, the property felt run-down and wasn't as clean as we expected. The overall condition of the hotel left a lot to be desired.
Unfortunately, this experience did not meet our expectations, and we won't be returning. We hope the hotel improves both its customer service and the condition of the property.

Not sure why this location gets negative reviews. We are moving across country, opted for this location. Then my car needed some repair work so our stay here was longer than expected. We were given no issues for extending another night.
None of us could hear any highway traffic that kept us awake. The room & bathroom was clean and comfortable (though the shower was a force, but it did what it is meant to do). The staff, all of the staff we encountered were friendly, courteous, and professional. As for others who mentioned not feeling safe, we felt 100% safe. Security & police seem to be routinely rolling so I am not sure what others issues were concerning safety. And they are pet friendly which is a huge plus because it is hard to find a good, clean hotel that allows our big ol' boy.
