  One bright spot was Michelle and her customer service mindset. She made best efforts to assist, and was always doing her best to represent her hotel. Rooms were inconsistent, and addressing concerns was not timely except when Michelle was involved. Plumbing issues on several stays with sinks that did not drain, housekeeping misses (communicated but not addressed, and several were skipped completely), walls and noise level were an issue, especially in my latest stay where the next room over had partygoers who were obnoxiously loud with both music and yelling, woke me up and kept me awake for several hours as a result. Amenities were not great (I had two requests in the seven weeks of my stay... a good ironing board and a fridge with a freezer if possible. Both seemed to be problematic based on inability to provide consistently. Fitness center was really poor. The day time reception host, an older woman, was not friendly, never smiled, and provided zero positive vibes to me as a reoccurring guest. Today I had my vehicle covered with grass clippings and dust by the landscaper doing edging and weed whacking, and the message I received back was that perhaps the landscaper could wipe it off. What an inadequate response. I would not recommend this location except for convenience.

  I am from Texas so maybe things are just way different in NJ; but our room value did not fit the cost. It was a basic room with basic sheets and pillows. The towels were thin and scratchy. Everything was clean and comfortable so no major complaints except the price for the value.

  I recently stayed here for my wedding weekend and also booked a room block for our guests. Overall, we had a really good experience, especially considering the location and what you typically expect from a hotel of this type. Jessica was absolutely wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. She was consistently responsive and kept communication clear and timely. The hotel itself was clean, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the bride and groom suite wasn’t ready when we arrived, but a few guests we arrived with, their rooms were ready for them to check in. We had to wait a bit before settling in. We made the most of it and grabbed lunch nearby at O'Reilly's Pub- awesome bar by the way! Additionally, while the suite was comfortable, I do feel it could have been a bit more thoughtfully placed—perhaps on a different floor. Ours was on the first floor where some construction was happening. It didn’t impact our stay in terms of noise, but a different location may have felt a bit more fitting for a wedding stay. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I would still recommend this hotel, especially for group bookings and events.

  We used the Holiday Inn express in Newton NJ for our wedding block and absolutely had no complaints. They were one of the few hotels that I reached out to that let me book a room block in 2024 for a 2026 wedding block. They were able to keep me updated on our room block and how many rooms we had left. We also used their party room for an after party space and a private breakfast. We gave them welcome bags that they dispersed to our wedding guests. We also had some supplies for the after party that they set up for us and kept the drinks cold! The private breakfast the next day after the wedding was great and fully stocked! The hotel was clean and seemed brand new. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. Highly recommend!

  Stayed here for a special trip celebrating Carmen and Marissa, and I have to say—this place delivered from the moment I pulled into the parking lot (which, let’s be honest, already puts it ahead of some places 😄). Check-in was smooth, and they even let us check in early—which saved us from showing up to a wedding looking like we just rolled out of the car. Huge win. The room was exactly what you want: clean, comfortable, and most importantly… no mysterious hotel smells. If you’ve traveled enough, you know that’s not always guaranteed. The showers? Hot with great water pressure—basically felt like a reward after a long day. Overall, it was just a really solid, stress-free stay. Nothing over-the-top fancy, but absolutely perfect for what we needed. Would definitely stay again—especially if there’s another celebration involved.
